good morning I was up at 6 - I just can't lie in - not good it was feezing though -had enough of that cold for a decade at least. Each morning at 7 I go out to check my precious plants with a cuppa :D

Morning B. I woke at seven and we had coffee in bed then got up to have breakfast. It is still very windy here and that wind is chilly!, Garden parched, new grass parched too its going brown at its edges :~(. I am watering but feel guilty!

Why on earth feel guilty Grandmage - it's not as if it's free and you're stealing it !
I've been watering since March - and your grass will die a painful death if you don't irrigate :-/

It's colder here today too, 15 at the moment, we've had that northerly wind for days :-(

Awoke at 7.30 am, got and made cup of tea for my beloved and enjoyed it in bed watching the news on TV. Saw the sun come around to light up the clematis growing through the pear tree and got up again. Had breakfast in a warm part of he garden.

I see no point in getting up early when its cold. Life and one's garden is for enjoying rather than putting up with. About to have joint of beef cooked in the bbq on the patio. Please pass the wine...

it's sunny here with a warm breeze :) and yesterday was a scorcher !
I get up early aswell usually. I love the dawn.

nice and hot here,got up at five as usual,coffee on the back step just listening to the birds and watching the sun come up,i agree with hywel i love the dawn,it makes me happy

can't believe we only live over the hill Bloomer, gales here, branches snapped off the tree out the front, its awful, worse day yet for wind, if you know what I mean, I did'nt get up until half eight, then had to do the house work due to guests.

i was up at 5 to sandra with casper wanting to eat and go out, this sunshine wakes him early bless grrr lol
still very windy here and knocking my acer about which im not pleased but sat out a while and was quite hot.

Sunny here in Newcastle but with a really cold wind.Up at seven this morning that is a lie in for me,but as I have had a couple of disturbed night's with my youngest it is now catching up on me.

Like Sandra its still blowing a gale here, its not cold but everything is taking a real hammering with it all, i to am up early not usually at 5am but always up around 6/ 6-30am, can't function though till i get my cornflakes and a cup of tea.

A really very warm day here in the west midlands Bloomer, in fact while weeding I must have been showing almost a builders bum and I`ve got a bit of sunburn despite having plastered myself in sunscreen.
It has, however, gone very windy this evening and its almost ripped my climbing Hydrangea from the wall.

bet you wondered which planet I was on ..Lol.Seems like a lot of us get up early..even if we haven't to go to work anymore..and yes,I do know its Sunday..but the days seem all the same.This afternoon,our Daughter and family asked us to go the park with them..They didn't seem to mind the wind,..wearing T shirts..while I had a jumper and a fleece on..frozen !..Children were in the paddling pool..but it was a bit more sheltered..and yes,our Thomas had his first paddle too,he loves water..he never even flinched,and cried when he had to come out !.Ah,yes,I remember it well..Lol.Just wish the wind would go,as it has been so sunny.
I must admit,I hate having to use all that water,especially when on a water meter...butts been empty for weeks..I save every bit I can,its surprising how I can soon fill a watering can..I hope all your plants,lawns etc are coping ok..
lets all hope it rains soon,preferably during the night :o))

It will be fine,Carole,my cutting is also planted out,they are very hardy.Four of mine are growing again,but think I have lost two,so not bad,considering.I sprinkled some water retaining Crystals in with mine,and hoping it rains..sometime !.Glad you had a lovely day with Robin,we had alovely day too,despite the cold wind..:o)

we found a lovely bluebell wood -- with the blue sky and dappled shade over the swathes of blue.... and amongst the trees - no wind-... :o)

Lol Sandra you would think it was autum comming winter with the cold I would agree yes east wind neither good for man nor beast the worst, know the feeling not being able to get back to sleep at times.

It seems to have moved south, it's not windy up here any more. I would say it's breezy, but even on the beach yesterday it wasn't too bad. What a wonderful spring we're having.
