,Paul,S.lad,Sharnford,and Shirley....a really lovely day,and so nice to have one of our family get togethers..not often enough now,as all have busy lives etc,although we still live within easy reach of each other.. Russells other sister and husband were on holiday, and our nephew Dominic was unable to be there. too,.it's a long way from Perth,Australia !..but we were all in contact via Skype..which was lovely,and he was enjoying their celebrations too..but there were enough of us to keep the party going :o)....Thomas was expecting another special guest...he was watching the clouds,and saying ''see smoke,.is Fireman Sam coming ? " Lol...over and over again ! bless him :o)

We did Sticki,thank you..this was only one table..another one wa ladened with sandwiches! ...Our Dianne and Alan did everyone proud..must say.lots of us chipped in and made things,also brought wine etc...so at least they didn't have to bear all the cost :o)

I bet you all had a better time than the Queen and Phillip...poor souls having to sit for hours on the Thames in the cold and the pouring rain at their age. Your family chose a far better day. Can I come to your Olympic party? I like silly games:-)) I wonder if it's legal to have an Olympic party? I heard the word Olympic had been patented and no-one could use it, nor the O*****c rings:-(

For harmony's sake..I will say we have the best of both worlds,Ba..:o)..I agree,not enough family parties,I know you love them too..but busy lives etc,have to take priority..

A grand family party to celebrate all that our grand lady has achieved for all those long years, I love family get togethers and coming from a huge family myself I know how hard it can be to get folks together for such an occasion.
Everyone looks very happy and I have to say how lucky you were with the weather as its been a bit of a beggar, lovely spread Bloomer and looking very patriotic.

Honestly Sandra its diabolical, I`m browsing on here whilst watching the Jubilee concert on skyplus, its teeming down and has been all day, I`d need wellies just to get to the g`house..
We as a family celebrated my youngest brothers 50th birthday last Sat evening, luckily it was in a big hall so at least we were indoors for that, all bbq`s cancelled at the moment, excuse to party when the sun comes back, we`ll celebrate later, I`m sure Her Majesty won`t mind ,lol..

Sorry BA, too late and I call mine the Buddha stomach ;)))

Such a shame,Sue,as so many planned for so long,to celebrate,..and you were lucky enough to have your party inside..hope it won't be too long before you can have your Jubilee party...I agree..diabolical is the right word !

That's an original description ,Lil..I have been quite good tonight,and had a salmon fillet with salad and a jacket potato....but OH has just asked me if I want a coffee ,or a choc ice..now,what would you go for ? ..looks like it's back to " I'm doomed,I tell you,doomed " ! :o))))))
