This beauty is (I think) a cross between Apollo and Texas. I don’t have any others of this type, see what you think:-)
He’s growing next to A. Apollo which I thought he was, until he grew larger and I could see he was a different colour. The photos don’t quite show his lovely colour exactly.
This is Apollo
And here the lovely Texas, both were from Malvern last May.

I’ve just put these on cos I like them:-)
Viburnum Summer Snowflake with Allium purple sensation
Clematis Blue Moon
I’ve no idea if I can take cuttings of aquilegia, but I would love more of this:-)

You should be excited it's a beauty. Call it Beautybornagain. Love all your other Aquilegias and the rest of the pictures. Don't know if it would be possible to split the roots in autumn or next spring, to make more, I remember separating some of mine in the past with success.

Thats lovely Bornagain, perhaps if you collect seeds from it it will come true to form.
Love the Viburnum and allium .

looks gorgeous.

Aquilegias are notoriously promiscuous so any seeds from your new plant are not likely to come true as there are different ones nearby. Some will come true if they are isolated but most A. vulgaris hybrids just revert to the wild type over time

Even if it doesnt breed true you can still divide it every now and then and keep it going that way. It's really pretty.
