We’ve enjoyed yet another sunny day, the garden is not ready for Autumn :-)
Fuchsia Army Nurse
Salvia amstrad
Sambucus nigra Black Tower – a compact, slim elder.
Choisya ternata sundance
Darmera peltata
Taxodium distichum (swamp cypress) – enjoys wet ground
Catalpa bignonioides ‘Aurea’ (golden Indian bean tree)
Liriodendron tulipifera
Acer davidii George Forrest – Snakebark Maple
Eucalyptus pauciflora niphophila – has especially nice colouring to the trunk and long leaves :-)

I love your selection of trees, some of my all time faves, we lost three Eucalyptus, and the Catalpa, lovely to see them happily growing away in your beautiful garden.....

Its changed completely here now, Autumn arrived with a vengeance and everywhere is looking soggy and smothered in fallen leaves, even the heating has been turned on.
Lovely photo's Dawn...

It has been a lovely October here too Dawn, but I think I am the one not ready for Autumn.

Paul, oh dear, not reached us yet, I guess all good things come to an end. Shame your weather has changed too Lin.
Yes Stera, all mine :-)
Hi DD, shame you lost a few, I thought Eucalyptus were as tough as old boots. I might keep the Catalpa pruned into a shrub shape.
Linda, me neither, not looking forward to the cold weather arriving but like you, October has been lovely.

What a lovely selection of trees you have, that Catalpa has lovely big leaves & the u-clipped-us look smashing.

Thanks Green :-)

I remember the first time I saw a Catalpa being fascinated by the name, and went round repeating Catalpa bignonioides for ages, just for the joy of being able to say it... (sad isn't it...)

No Stera, not sad at all, I would love to be able to pronounce all the Latin names.
