First Autumn Frost

So the first morning after the clock went back we had our first proper frost.
Over the last couple of years I’ve added shrubs/trees to add extra autumn/winter colour:
Cercis canadensis ‘Forest Pansy’
Euonymus europaeus ‘Red Cascade’
Euonymus alatus (Winged Spindle)
Fagus sylvatica (common beech)
We planted the beech hedging 5 years ago, its been slow to establish but I like it alot.
Thanks for looking.

Gosh Dawn! Your area of the county certainly gets different weather, I was up at 5.30am yesterday (eek ?)
No frost but a pearly pink dawn in the Loughborough area.....

Lovely photos Dawn - did you wear gloves?! No frost here yet, but a night cold enough to make dozens of apples suddenly fall from a tree :)

Garden looks lovely Dawn even with its frosty coating, quite mild here on Lincs/Rutland border, we've had a fair amount of rain in the last couple of weeks but sunshine yesterday and today...

It all looks wonderful with the frost. We are still frost free in Glasgow but I can't imagine it will last long.

No frost in our area as yet, it looks amazing though on your beautiful garden. Bit foggy today after a very mild night. :O)

Thanks everyone. Isnt it strange how the weather varies throughout the country. I always feel a bit hard done to as we are in the middle of the country but get these frosts. Especially miffed that Glasgow and Aberdeen are frost free, lol. Mild again now though and rain but pleased about the rain.

Dawn the garden looks absolutely stunning, you must be so pleased with what you have achieved, love it... and so does my OH, just showed him the frost, he loves a good frost, reminds us of the time we lived your way, well Burton Lazars, near Melton Mowbray, happy days!
