I’ve been outside for most of the day :)
I noticed these plants doing their thing.
Hamamelis mollis
Helleborus Tutu
Knautia Macedonica
Osmanthus Goshiki
Some kind of fungi growing on a tree stump
Malus Red Sentinel still going strong
Bergenia – the variety escapes me
Every cyclamen coum has different leaves :)
Alstroemeria Indian summer should be sleeping but she’s still going strong.

that's a lovely selection of plants not sure what time of year they are in. my daughter said that my garden looks so green. on reflection not many herbaceous plants have died down. I will have to get out and cut them back or I wont see the spring bulbs.

It is so mildisnt it? Lucky you getting a day outside. I still have my daughter and fiancee here till tomorrow. So no play time for me! I have just been out to the shop and noticed we have prunus blossom on the subhirtella autumnalis Rosea, which is very unusual here. It often won’t flower before a mild spell in late winter. Lovely to see everything enjoying the mild spell though...especially in your frost pocket Dawn!

Thanks Terra.
Seaburn, your garden sounds like it's in autumn limbo.
Karen, I noticed a little blossom on my Prunus autumnalis today too.
So you're grounded, oh dear, I've had lots of interruptions today so I've not been out to play today either. Yes no frost in my pocket .... at the moment :-)

Quite mild here too in New York Dawn, but rainy. I slipped a few more bulbs into the ground.

Is it Bathgate, I visualise New York being covered in snow in December. Good bulb planting weather.

You would think so, so would I, but mother nature has other ideas. Oh well, just enjoy it I guess.

No doubt winter will arrive very soon.

I love the Bergenia leaves btw. :)

Thanks Karen, I've lost record of what it is, for the timebeing.

We lost our hamamelis two years ago because of very wet soil around it and I would love to get another one. We shall choose a drier spot for it next time!
Your hellebore is going to be a huge mass of flowers very soon!

That's a shame Wildrose. Yes the hellebore is fully loaded in buds.

Lovely pictures Dawn, it can stay mild for as long as it likes. It suits me ... :)

I agree Hywel, wouldn't it be great, were getting a cold snap end of this week apparently.

I don't mind it a bit chilly though ... but snow and weather when the soil stays frozen solid all day makes me feel ill.
It's a beautiful sunny morning here today :) I'll try to do something outside later on .

It was only something like 4 degrees here today but I've been out all day, the air was so dry, no sun or wind, it was enjoyable. Remember that 2010 winter Hywel? It didn't get above freezing in the day time for what seemed like weeks.

I'm glad you enjoyed your day in the garden Dawn,

Me neither Hywel!

Fascinating photos, Dawn, showing how the plants are thriving so far in the mild winter. Thanks for sharing.
