It’s that time again :) Tawny Owletts

It’s with great excitement I share these pictures. We’ve had tawny owls nesting for several years now, none last year but when we cleaned the nest box out this winter there were two perfect eggs.
I looked up this morning and certainly they hadn’t emerged, they are very early this year. There are two babies but after dashing for the camera only one visible.
Here’s where they are, can you see my insect hotel in the middle in the background, the nest box is above that high in the ash tree.
Soooo exciting.

Thanks everyone. They do look grumpy lol, spotted the Mum nearby in a pine tree on guard. Amy it's about 11 years since John built the box! I was so shocked today to see them as it's usually the end of May.

They are cute, grumpy looking & potentially vicious but that's a cracking job helping out wildlife?!
