Stunning Tulips

Sadly, I waited too long before taking a photo of these stunning tulips. Believe it or not the blooms are a good 5" across. And such a beautiful, unusual colour.

I'd never have guessed these were tulips unless I noticed the leaves, they are spectacular!

They look delicious. I LOVE the colour. Just bought Chaemomeles Geisha Girl, a very similar shade, and planted next to deep mauve pulsatilla for a lovely contrast.

Thanks all for the lovely comments. Tuesday, I've just looked at the Chaemomeles; it's beautiful and I'd love to have one myself. Don't know where I'd put it though!
