I have lots of gardening books, all sizes, two RHS volumes that are gigantic and brilliant, they are a sit down at the table read because of their weight, yes I love my books as well, even though I have my laptop, I still check in my books..........

I have those two RHS books as well, and you're right, Lincslass, they ARE a ton weight! I have to keep them on the bottom shelf of the bookcase, so I can just heave them on to the floor to read! Drc726, your book looks very interesting, and even though books are old they are still really useful! Must check on amazon!

im wondering if these will come out as ebooks eventually so you could have them on a kindle-type reader and the weight wouldnt be a problem??

oh I hope they dont make them all e-books. they make me feel cheated.
I actually like the weight of the books.

i like books until they are so heavy that it makes them difficult to read
also, if small print is a problem the new electronic version can sort that out i think

I like the look of that book, its good to have the photo,s and the information all on the one page. I have the RHS encyclopedia a big heavy tome as well but it is a different set up to yours , it has some information with the illustrations and lots of information at the back of the book, but I find it a hassle to find exactly what Im looking for instruction wise.
