*SIDETRACKED IN STOURHEAD*

For all of you wonderful Goyers out there, who have followed my ‘Lost in Somerset’, blog that I posted over six months ago, I wanted to take you all on a journey to a spectacular,(and I don’t use the word lightly), National Trust Landscaped garden, not too far from me, called *’Stourhead*’.
Stourhead is just outside Frome, (Pronounced Frume_) in Wiltshire…. The original House and Gardens were purchased by Mr Henry Hoare I, and passed onto his son, Henry Hoare the II, who helped create the ’_The Perfect Landscape Garden ’ from the 1740’s onwards.
It truly is spectacular, and certainly worthy of a visit if you are ever over this way, but allow yourself a good day to walk around it, and bring a picnic! You won’t regret it…..
I have posted several blogs on the History of Garden Design through the Ages, and this Landscape Garden, which now belongs to the National Trust, follows the fashion of ’_Idealising the view in pictorial terms_ ’, in other words, as a fine natural painting. This garden was heavily influenced by the Italian Style of Landscape design.
But this is not a history lesson, though the history is easy to look up, should you so wish….
This is my own private take on a glorious day out in a breathtaking environment….Please join me as we wander through this beautifully Landscaped Garden, linger, at your leisure, as we take a gentle stroll through Stourhead, as seen through the eyes of my camera….

Fantastic place,Flori,and your photo's are lovely.Some parts of it reminds me of Fountains Abbey,especially the reflected foliage,and Temple of Apollo pics...love the last one..they create a certain ambience.!! Lol...were you on the pull????????

Very-very beautiful place. As you can see from my profile I enjoy visiting public gardens and I will certainly do not miss this one in the summer.....God willing. There is another reason I must go there. It contains a lot of Greek history.

Fantastic pics Flori, the first one setting the standard. I'd love to visit it, but this is the next best thing. The 'Monet painting' looks more like a painting than a photo, beautiful. I know nothing about cameras, but these pics seem to have a different quality to them. Good job your OH wasn't in uniform, as Annella will be looking in soon! A worthy successor to Somerset:-)))

Wow! I have just logged on and am amazed at the response that my blog has generated already! Thank you all for such lovely complimentary comments...and I am so glad that Goyers out there would like to visit this wonderful garden themselves....You would not be disappointed....
Yes, Sticki, it was May, and the Rhododendrons are just about every colour possible....This was a really warm day that we went, and there is so much shade and cool area's to rest in....You can even buy some plants there as well.....Thank you all for your comments....I am really touched by them...\0/x

I live in Aldridge, Walsall Sticki. We could have a meet up at Malvern as there's a coach from here and a few of us, Spritz, Louise, Flori and Ba met there last spring show. Stunning photos Flori and a great blog. I have been here before on a cold and wet day in in the early 1980's in Autumn. I can't remember it being as lovely as this though. I should have gone on a better day. Mind you I was there with work not to look at the views.........lol ;-)

This is going on my list of N.T. places to visit this year. Thanks for showing us around these beautiful gardens. National Trust membership is one of the best investments we ever made. So many historic buildings and gardens to see. : o ))

It really is as lovely as your photos show, Flori - worth making a special trip to visit, anyone who hasn't been there!
You walk round the huge lake, and at every turn there's a new view. I only had a film camera the last time we went, and I used all the shots up!
I dread to think how many photos I'd take on a digital camera. ;-)

I went to Stourhead last year, and you're right, it's stunning. I have the same photos, but the weather was a bit more gloomy. Lovely pics!

Well, it's a show I would really love to visit, depends on many factors though! I'm down on the Sussex coast, a fair distance from Malvern. OH and I could take in visits to N.T. places, together with the show over a few days. Hmmm, I feel a plan coming on! : o ))

Just found out coach goes from Aldridge Saturday 14th. I could probably get there by train if everyone was going on a different specific day, but that would mean I couldn't buy much:-(( I bought so much last time, I had to buy two trollies:-)) Shirley, if you saw the Somerset blog, you would know that hijacking was the flavour of the day, in fact any old flight of fancy:-))

Absolutely beautiful photos, Floribunda, and what a gorgeous sunny day you had. Loved the Monet waterlilies too. Mmmm, I belong to the NT . . . will have to work out how far that would be.
Please can we fix a date for Malvern in 2012??!! It would be wonderful to meet up, and it's such a great show - better than Chelsea. Loved it in 2009 - would have gone again this year, but oh dear, we've gone and booked a holiday in the Greek Islands when it's on. Instead, just have to enjoy the wild flowers, and swimming in the turquoise sea and sunshine . . . almost as good as Stourhead really!

Great idea Sticki...you would blend in perfectly...as long as you stand among the red poppies,and black bamboo...very colour co-ordinated,..you wouldn't want to clash with orange,yellow etc...now go and get some work done :o))..

Yuck...never mind all that....I've just spent lots of money on ebay buying plants! ....What are my fellow plantaholics doing who are supposed to help when the urge gets too strong? talking about lard thats what! It happens every winter...I'm a hopeless case:-( I look at my garden...horrible...need more evergreen...I'll just look on ebay (I've had good plants before) and before you know it clicked lots of 'buy nows':-( I'll check and let you know what I've bought...it all went by in a whirr:-)

Euphorbia Ascot Rainbow, azalea golden flare, heuchera creme brulee, leucothe rainbow, camellia debbie, a massive deep pink heather??, large erica 'alberts gold', nandina domestica and a new euphorbia, burrows silver. I was on a high...........wheeeeeeeee:-))

Stop buying Ba, it's too cold to plant them at the minute! I'm just jealous because I've spent every penny on the kids over xmas.
Dripping as a bottox substitute sounds interesting Bloomer, do you eat it or inject it? I get the feeling it's not so good for the cellulite though.
Now back to the little matter of the 'Tramp' suit...I am happy to admit that some of my actions may sound a little slappy but that is unkind Ba. I would prefer to think of myself as being 'Santa's little helper' the Simpsons slender Greyhound, a real racer!!! Whoooooooooooof
Flori, Harry the Hose is out now and on medication, some pills called Viagnella. Apparently he has perked up no end since taking them ;0))

Now you see what I mean Sticki! Annella your prudent advice is a little too late...I'm probably skint now. I think though it's a bit like the pudding stomach...you know, where you've eaten loads and are in pain...then pudding arrives and miraculously you can eat the lot. I bet if a wonderful plant presented itself...I could buy it:-)

the plants sound lovely Ba-- except the euphorbia-- can't stand them for some reason....
as to the dripping toast its a real delicacy especially salted until it crunched ( the health police would have a fit! but grandad lived to 93 )

I'm going to look at what she's bought:-) My dad never ate veg, except the occasional tinned marrowfat peas with meat and potatoes. Fave food bacon and eggs and anything sweet. Smoked 'til he was 50. He lived over 90 years.

Went to our GC this afternoon,but not much left,only Xmas stuff...so took comfort in a nice scone and a cuppa instead..:o)...and then thinking of Spring (s),we went and bought a new mattress instead...sorry..that is sooo bad,I know...AND it cost a lot more than bargain plants Lol.

I haven't bothered this year (except plants of course) My daughters just had her Alliance and Leicester account stolen. someone withdrew all but £6 over the counter yesterday in a branch in Reading!! There was not a lot in it, but whoever took it out must have asked what the balance was. They've told her it will take 2 weeks for her to be reimbursed, if it is proven to be a fraudulent withdrawal.Flippin' cheek!! She panicked thinking they may have stolen her identity, I told her not to worry..no-one would want it:-)

AAAAAAAAH...won't go any bigger Flori, but so pleased you're on the mend. Whoever took out the money must have had nerves of steel to actually go into the bank, as I think they all have cctv. I wonder do they bother trying to find the thief? We all do so much on line now which must make us all the more vulnerable. :-)

today is leftovers -- cold beef and bubble & squeak
tomorrow is pea & ham soup made with a ham bone from christmas and quick soak dried peas soaked overnight I add carrot celery & a stock cube and simmer for a couple of hours then remove bone and add any meat still on bone back to the soup, homemade breadmaker bread and a pudding ( no main as the soups a meal in itself!) good old winter warmers-- well thats my excuse as it uses up the christmas leftovers :o)))
hope that helps-- I've 2 turkey legs if you've ideas for them!!!
ps I worked in a newsagent when I was a t catering college ( a whole £1 for working all day sunday)

I like the idea of the pie, I did stuffed mushroom & bacon pasta the other day and used stilton ( very local cheese for me-- 30 mins to Melton Mowbray)
amuses me when in scotland to see Colston Bassett stilton as a delicacy :o)

I missed not having a turkey this year,with going away..as we all love Turkey stew ,well more like chunky soup really..always welcome mid January,when its 'what shall we have tonight' moment..mmm,with a crusty.. French stick...talking of cheap labour jobs..An icecream factory in Liverpool,was my worst nightmare..trying to learn how to make Arctic Roll,on a conveyer belt..and having to wear wellies that didn't fit..they were always hosing the floor down...I lasted 4 days..!!.

we went to melton mowbray, belvoir castle and would it have been colton bassett a couple of months ago ~ bit of a foodie trip! ludlow is very good for that too!

The mushroom was a large one that I stuffed with spring onion bacon & the stalks cooked in a pan with a little creme fraiche & garlic then over the mushrooms and stilton crumbled, then hot oven about 20 mins then a sauce with remaining mushroom, bacon & fraiche an a little pesto, I sometimes use oat or soya cream for healthy eating!!
we go the to 'Downtown' store nr Grantham and go close to the vale of Belvoir the duke & duchess are active charity supporters all over the area and I do enjoy visiting the castle, they sometimes hold charity events in the house & grounds, you often see them and their children there. It may have been Colston Bassett or Long Clawson both are cheese makers-- did you go on a tuesday as Melton still has a weekly cattle market where lots of local food is for sale-- I'm hungry now.....

It's all making my mouth water..After Christmas, I freeze the legs (massive) cook up the carcass with herbs and carrot, onion and anything else going, reduce it and freeze. Then all those who were here for Christmas (apart from veggie son as he doesn't live around here), come again for the turkey and ham pie. I used home made chicken stock, the frozen turkey stock, frozen ham stock and thaw all the turkey and ham meat. It's a fiddley job getting all the meat off the bone, but these animals died for us, so feel we should use all we can. After all that work, feeling very self righteous...I buy ready made puff pastry lol. But it really is delicious. It was my daughters birthday on the 30th, so we had it then. A few years ago I used the legs in a turkey and cranberry salad, it was a Jamie Oliver recipe and the most fantastic salad I have ever had. It's just not easy doing it for so many:-)

Do what you will with the leftovers... but a word to the wise: DON'T try to make ham, turkey, coleslaw and cheese cubes omelette!

I've made it with raisins soaked in rum (possibly my favourite), apples with a little lemon juice and raisins soaked in brandy, pineapple cut into small bits, maple flavoured syrup with walnuts and raisins (delish) I just love the basic recipe and I use whatever is around. Only problem is....I keep making and eating it:-( Mind you, with all that fruit, I count it as one of my 5 a day!:-)

ive just put another variation into the oven ~ i may have to call it golden GoY cake ~ i didnt have everything it needed so i have put in dried pears ~ but they are juicy not dried up, dried mango, and a couple of apricots, also had honey and maple syrup instead of some of the golden syrup!!

I spent most of last night making peanut butter fudge, then couldn't cut it this morning, it went too sloppy, was sticking to the paper etc. I got quite deranged... Managed to prevent it from sticking to stuff by coating the 'squares' (read 'blobs') with flour, but still not a good news story...

as we are being 'sidetracked' hope you dont mind me changing subject ~ just wanted to say that new film [which happens to have Colin Firth in] called 'The Kings Speech' is really excellent ~ i wasnt sure if i would like it but it is one of the best films ive seen. its got a very simple story line but the characters and humour are superb. do go and see it if you can.

the cinema was virtually full, some people clapped at the end and then there was silence but after that a real buzz of people talking about the film ~ not sure too many films get that effect
i wish everyone could see it ~ there are so many things you can take away from it ~ if you see what i mean ~ i keep thinking about it even now.
i dont want to spoil it for you so i wont give any details but although it is sad it is also a very 'warm' film.

One of the people at our church has a reputation for making chilli choc chip cookies. He's quite famous around these parts because the cookies are so good, in fact he even got in the local paper with them.
In the years I have known my Mum, The King's Speech is the only movie she's even been interested in talking about thinking about seeing! Hope she actually sees it.

Today at work it's another stinking hot day, and because I didn't fancy wearing a wet Chux wipe over my head like last week, so I brought my own red bucket hat to work. (It says Merry Christmas on the back, let's hope the boss doesn't notice.) I was running it under the tap and all the red dye started running out of the hat all over my hands! So now I look like a bit of an idiot - but what's new?

heres a recipe to use up ripe bananas-- and chocolate...
you need a 2lb lined loaf tin
oven on 180 degc
I use an electric hand whisk to mix
225g sr flour
100g marg
175g sugar
2 large gggs
2 large/3 small very ripe bananas
3tbsp milk
100g chocolate-- chopped
cream tog marg & sugar
add eggs,bananas and milk ( half the milk until you see the consistency)
add HALF the chocolate and stir in
pour into loaf tin
sprinkle rest of chopped choc on top and bake 45min- 1 hour-- until skewer is clean
I'm serving is with 'sinful sauce'
take half a bar of dark chcolate broken in pieces, cover with cream
microwave until just warm and choc is soft stir well and use
its heavenly
special choc tart
equal quantities of cream & choc prceed as above, add alcolhol of choice eg rum allow to cool slightly and pour into a baked pastry case and chill and you've a chocolate tart ( to be posh the choc mix is a Ganache!)

5oz pud rice 5oz sugar 2 pints low fat milk mix all together pour into an oven proof dish and cook for about 2 hours ( if -- like me you get the munchies-- nice eaten cold.......) LOW FAT \0/\0/\0/
as to the marble cake thats a bit dry just a quick zuzz in the mic and pour the chocolate sauce over... simples.....

Just for Ba--
1oz plain choc
1 cup hot strong black coffee
1cup semi skim milk
2oz sugar
3 eggs
you need i large or 4 small ramekins ( or cups)
a roasting tin
set oven at 150 deg c
put choc in a bowl, pour over the hot coffee, heat the milk and pour that in as well then add the sugar & eggs and whisk until disolved
pour into prepared dishes that are standing in the roasting tin, pour hot water in the tin to come halfway up the dishes
bake for 45 mins or until set
cool and chill before serving
you could serve with fat free creme fraiche
I came across magic mud pud-- but maybe another day....

I call them little mocha pots you could use more milk or experiment but they are light.

having a few problems with my lap top,this past few days,it just keeps cutting out for some reason,and having trouble even getting started sometimes.,it is plugged in,and ,the battery is fully charged..so can't think why it is doing this.Iwas just about to reply to you,Ba,and it just went off again.When I do manage to get it started again,it doesn't come back where I left off,so is switching off completely,which I don't like,as I prefer to shut it down correctly each time.I will have to see if Anthony,my trouble shooter ,can fix it,when they come tomorrow.If I don't manage to join in this inspiring saga,you will know why...and i won't have to rack my brains to keep this up:o)))...A bit of a cop out,I hear you say? ..me? never!

We need organising!! anyone got any organising skills?? Flori would prefer Saturday as would I as it's the day the coach goes. Flori is our flexible friend as her OH could take her a different day. I too could catch a train so am also flexible really. Those of you who are so selfish as to make me go by train, please say which day. Thursday is Sticki day. Pros...we will see everything at its best and nothing will be sold out. Cons...Sticki is going :-)

cakes and colin firth - that do? actually colin firth cant come nor can carol klein cos she has already been to the house over the road when they started doing the NGS.
so that leaves only the cakes - the only other thing i can offer is a huge garden centre nearby as well as 3 other smaller ones and a very nice craft centre!

Right, this Malvern Show...The best thing that we can do is all put down our favoured day that we can attend, and the most that can make a certain day, that will be the one that we choose...How does that sound? As dear Ba said, if my OH calls in a favour at work, we are pretty flexible, and I do agree with Shirley Tulip, Saturday will be a bit chaotic, though to be honest with the recession still biting the way that it is, we didn't find it too bad last year. Santann, it would be so brilliant to see you if you could make it...and I know that Ba will look after you, cos the security guards will be looking after her! (That's the trouble when you run a multi-billion world wide company as our entrepreneurial Ba does, she needs to be protected)..lol. Sticki, I know that you can only make Thursday, which Shirley favours too, how about you, Santann and Ba? Wish that you could join us Pam, but I know that it won't be suitable for everyone..mores the pity ...Does this help at all?????\0/x

If only others could be more like me 0:-) Annella, I've told my security guards not to wear their uniforms...just in case...you know what you're like with men in uniforms:-( Sticki, as you know, many of our florettes live at quite a distance from you so I wondered if you were offering to put some of us up for the show? thanks pam ~ i did sprinkle it over before ~ makes a type of crackling glaze? i made some of the chocolate but i hadnt got cream so i just melted the chocolate with a little milk ~ very nice and then served it with creme fraiche!!! was lovely ~ thank you

Ba scones
12oz Self Raising flour half tsp baking powder if liked
2oz marg
2oz sugar
mix together
8 fluid oz milk ( or a tablespoon syrup and make up with the milk)
mix lightly and quickly
tun onto a floured board and pat gently to over 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick
use cutters (or a tumbler) for 10 scones put on a greased tray at
190 deg C for 10-15 mins ( don't over cook)
turn over and tap its bottom-- should be golden

I don't like baking powder-- it seems to stick to my teeth! so start without, if you want fruit in them then 2oz and cheese 2oz but no sugar
then I'm very good and split them with flora proactive but OH likes strawberry jam and clotted cream.....

I'm doing a spanish evening Saturday (family meal) and bought some manchego, it was just over £5 for 250 grams...good job I'm not very cheesy at that price and by the time i've cut off the rind there'll be nothing left lol. Saint Jamie said that if you trickle honey and sprinkle instant or preferably grind a little coffee on it...it's heaven, so I'm going to try. I'll let you know what it's like:-)

Well! Temps hit 43 yesterday, but thankfully college is airconditioned. I have blisters the size of a 10 cent coin from my new shoes, though! :o( Feet were killing me all day.
I don't know how I'm going to go at college, from what I've seen so far, it is HARD WORK!!! A 'pass' is about as good as I can hope for from everything, I think!!

i called in at the very big garden centre yesterday - was looking for a couple of house plants - disappointing array i thought; i liked the ferns but i knew OH would want the flowering plants so i got 2 gerberas.
while i was there i did have a bit of a look round but they seem to be concentrating on all the tiny plants to be 'grown - on' at home ready for bedding out; i dont have a conservatory or a greenhouse - any suggestions???? i would like my garden to have more plants this summer but not sure of the best way to do it. too expensive to just go out and buy enough shrubs!

How about erysiums and penstemons Sticki..the former flower all summer long and are reasonably sized.. the EC Bowles gets quite big and you can break off bits and stick into ground and should get new plants fairly easily..same applies to penstemons..quite large and very floriferous..and again you could try "stick bits in the ground routine". Day lilies are easy too. I can send you a couple of these.

Last year I bought one of those plastic covered jobbies from Wilkinsons which I kept in my small front porch. Very cheap, 4 metal shelves, and grew on quite a lot of stuff. I bought plugs and started them off in a spare bedroom. It was my first time. If you look on my pics Sticki, you'll see what I mean. Probably from about Feb on last year. You could comment on my pics and make me look popular as you looked ¦:-)

Erysium are perennial wallflowers honey, they do a purple one, a yellow one, an orange one, a couple of mixtured colours too.

BTW Sticki, I bought some paperwhites mid November 2009 that were labelled "ready to flower for Christmas", stuck them in the ground, and they were in flower by 25th November - a whole month early.

Why has no-one asked where I am?? Well, I'm not going to tell you where I've been, but I must tell you about the new love in my life.......Montezuma chocolate!!!!!!!! The orange and geranium is the best in the World and it's made in England by an independant company. I can't tell you how wonderful it is and how suitable for gardeners too. Pip can we have a Montezuma Orange and Geranium award? It would have to be for something very special...maybe a poetry award (not fot Tet though I think Moonies should be excluded..just a Sister award ha!) ¦:-))))

I didn't really go anywhere, just wanted to sound interesting, I've just been busy doing my bedroom, spilling loads of paint on bedroom carpet...holding on phone while being played 'music' and a recording telling me how valued I am and to keep holding....finding out insurance policy doesn't cover paint spill on carpet...would have been better to spill paint on computer as that is covered:-( What fun! ¦:-)

First Montezuma chocolate shop opened in Brighton in 2000 - we were there! Just happened to be in Brighton that day - don't go very often these days as too busy by far and costs a fortune to park! Everyone thinks The Lanes are full of antique shops - loads of jewellers - our son bought the engagement and wedding rings from one of them. But - if you really want to see the eccentric and bizarre - visit the North Lanes including Sydney Street. Amazing selection of unique shops & restaurants - from vegetarian boots/shoes - to Zen wares. Our daughter was at Sussex University for 3 years so we spent many hours wandering around those lanes - not the posh ones! : o ))

I'm very busy at the moment, I'm making my bedroom 'shabby chic', it's been shabby for too long and needed the chic bit...I've gone all feminine, sort of faded French chateau. It started with my car Tet (convertable so I get a chance to get some sun on the way to work and on the way home) But the month has gone on and on with floods and bad news, sickness etc etc etc...The drinkapist is a very big help. And if it stopped raining here I would love to see my plants up close to have a chat.

Not windy here ... just soggy! Heavy rain showers in between brilliant sunshine has left the ground soaked yet again. Thanks, Tet ... my weight gain is due to nobody but myself! When OH was in his sickbed over Christmas & New Year with Pleurisy I just ate far too many goodies ... couldn't let them go to waste ! You know the sort ... tree chocs/mince pies/sausage rolls/sweets ... am now paying the price! Never really had to lose weight before ... but I'm determined to be able to fasten my Spring/Summer skirts in a couple of months ... certainly can't at the moment. : o (((

I know Pamg, lol!, I thought that!! Ive got some real humdingers coming on this year, cant wait for them to flower (some wont I guess cos bit small yet). Ive not got 6 Blazing Sunrise which are gorgeous..and a couple of Celebration Song which was a big prize winner at iris shows. Ive been really wicked and put in a big order for late spring..hope they will be ready to flower in May/June, and some of them are repeat flowering if the summer dry and hot enough (live in hope!).
Im a real Iris nut. Bit like Simbad with her daylilies lol!

No, these are the Germanica, they love hot and well drained, hate wet and soggy. They are the tall bearded type. I do have a lot of Iris Sibirica too..they like it moist to very damp, you can plant these along the margins of ponds, but not actually in them.

we've yellow blue and a pretty lilac & white that often float around in the wind with the reeds & bulrushes ( often with a nest right inside) they do wind up in the shallows eventually I suppose but they flower well and the dragon & damsel flies love them--but yours are beautiful Tet

If I may interject...though, I am impressed by Tet,
she can turn a poem out upon it's head...
And our Pam is rather nifty, as she has a shot of Whiskey,
she is quick with her sharp wit, which is well said......
As to Ba's educated learning, as the midnight oil she's burning, to introduce, a Laureate onto the board,...
But my feelings could be hurt, as she tries hard to usurp,

I make my porridge with water Pamg..but I cheat and have a spoonful of treacle. However weightwatchers chart shows that treacle and honey a lot less fattening than sugar!

I haven't looked in on this thread for a while ... have had a few problems so I'd like to wish Flori a rather belated 1st GoY anniversary ... congratulations to you! Good to see the theme is still food-based on here ... lol! I'm still cutting back on yummy food ... not easy though. Just seen in the local paper that the Brighton based cake shop 'Choccywoccydoodah' are on TV at 5.30 this evening, on the Good Food channel. I shall be busy preparing a roast chicken dinner for 6 so shan't be watching. Probably far too many tempting things anyway ... lol! : o ))

Good grief you've all become foodaholics as soon as my back is turned! And that Shirleytulip...what a cheek...as if it wasn't her who made me eat her fruit (plum) cake all through winter...and I'm still hooked. And then that Stickitoffee with her chocolate..getting me hooked on that, especially after Christmas. And poor innocent Pam with her cocoa butter hand cream..... just fuelling the fire. You'd be much better off with bitter alloes Pam. We could do with a low fat cookery course, I'm sure someone somewhere must run them...Tet could organise it, she's very good at that sort of thing:-)

Just popped in before Im out planting up plug plants again...
We have now reached No.998 thats me...only two more to go!!
Still painting the hall, but soon be finished thank goodness. We wont be doing any more decorating from now on it will be a paint/decorator so we will have to start saving for the next room!!
Gazebo next job. As I am moving at snail's pace, dont think it will add to calorie loss!

Wow! I thought that we would really struggle to get to 1000 comments, but with a nudge from my dear Pam, and seeing Bloomer's plea to complete the last comment, I rushed over here at the speed of light, to comply!!
Well I had a good chuckle catching up on all the comments, especially Shirley tulips Scrabble word...I fell about laughing at that! Flori, the 4 letter word allowed in Scrabble was from Tet, not me! No worries, I think we all smiled at it. I can't keep up on here at the moment, just dip in now and then to comment. I treated myself to some new plants today as found a Wilkinsons, not somewhere I usually visit, and got 15 Gladiolus (Acidanthera), 10 Gladious Nanus (Prince Claus), 3 Gypsophylla and 3 Astilbe.
