Felix domesticus 'Variegatus'

Sid

By Sid

Felix domesticus 'Variegatus' (Felix domesticus 'Varigatus')

Also known as Birtie. After the loss of my old girl, Goldie (my constant shadow of 17 years) a few years ago, I didn't think I'd ever have another cat. Then one day this skinny little 6 month old kitten turned up, half starved and with an ear infection so bad that her ear canels had completely closed up, the vet said. She is not quite my 'shadow' as yet, but more a naughtly little monkey that dashes about pouncing on invisible things on the lawn and keeping me on my toes! She's about 3 years old now and still behaves like a kitten!

What is it about an animal in need? I could never be a veterinarian because kitten whiskers and capers turn me mushy...lol. Busy Birtie.
The liveliest flower in your garden. (loved the variegatus...lol)

I'm gald you all like Birtie!! This picture illustrates her character very well - she is SO mischievous! She likes for me to be out in the garden, but she is currently banned from the greenhouse in case she lies down on my seedlings. Naughty Birtie-birts......

I like your Latin name for the cat, who looks like a cutie. I've just got a new 'variegated' cat too! She hasn't been out in the garden yet as I'm keeping her in for 2 weeks - not that she'd probably show much interest during this cold snap.
