Are these all annuals then? I've got some Silver dust and is that a Hebe next to it?

so much colour lily think you may have a bit of a wait, still very showy yet :o))

No Ian, it's a Jacob's Ladder ( the proper name is escaping me just now) which I've had for about 5 years and it's never done anything but it seems to like it in there. As the bed was new this summer, I filled it up mostly with annuals but it will need something permanent of interest for the winter. The Cineraria Silver Dust was in a winter tub in my open porch and survived so I planted it there and it's now huge so you may be able to keep yours with a little protection.
I'm not in a hurry to take it out Sandra ! :o)

So much colour, looks like you'll have a bit of a wait before they are ready to be pulled out!

Really nice - you have a beautiful garden Lily. What is the orange plant in the pot? (far right hand corner)

3 Nov, 2009

Thank you Skillen, glad you like it. The orange plant is a tuberous begonia called I think 'Bonfire' (have to check that when it's daylight!). They were heavily promoted in GC's this year and sold in an orange pot to match!. It flowered non stop but winding down now.

I wish i'd seen them, my favourite colour. What will you do with it over winter?

It has a tuber so hopefully I'll dry it off and wrap it up in newspaper in the shed like some of the Dahlias then it's fingers crossed for next year!
