I need some advice here if you can give it.We are living in Hungary with the best soil ever.Volcanic soil. I want to plant fast growing bushes and evergreens which will survive the endless cold winters here and very hot summers. Am a novice gardener so any help would be appreciated. Regards KOSAMARRY

I use a lot of box plants, they seem to survive the winters here.Holly is also very could.some times i plant evergreens and just see what happens, check out your local garden centre.you can also get semi evergreen honeysuckle,I have halls prolific honeysuckle
I bought mine off the Internet.I can not think off any fast growing evergreens, you could always purchase mature plants, they will be more expensive but you will not have to wait for them to give a nice display.
I hope you find this useful, happy gardening from suey
