Excellent Janey, I saw two at the local Reservoir a couple of weeks ago, but they seemed to have sort of green/blue iridescent wings. This is a brilliant shot, better than some in the books you buy.

Marvellous photo you must have a good camera lens Janey. Dragoflies are hard to take photos of because they don't usually settle for long.

I think he wanted to sunbathe Linda.....and after a few darts around, settled for the pic. I trimmed it later before posting, it's a smashing Leica lens.

I can't get really good close ups with my camera as it's getting on a bit now but it still takes a good picture.

You still take lovely pics though Lindak.......loved your red dragon!.....this red dragonfly could make a great pal for him......:o)

Just been for a walk across the fields so I am about to post a few more pictures. It's certainly a lovely morning with plenty of sunshine and blue skies.
