Hebe 'Heartbreaker' (Hebe)

This Hebe changes colour to a beautiful pink as the temperatures drop. It has just started, as you can see!

That is pretty, seems to have finer leaves than most of my Hebes.

3 Nov, 2009

Used to grow many Hebes when we lived in the cold Midlands, only grow one now the large one, cannot remember its name!!

5 Nov, 2009

So very pretty in its winter colours, I'd be tempted to put it in the fridge overnight;-) I want this one too:-)

6 Nov, 2009

It isn't the hardiest of Hebes - be warned!

6 Nov, 2009

Oh no..it's the coprosma all over again. I fell in love with coprosma after seeing three different varieties in a neighbours garden. She had just had a front (corner garden) makeover with a 2-2.5 feet high surrounding wall. She has planted many evergreen shrubs including coprosmas against this wall. Should she be warned to 'fleece' them or something this winter or will the wall give enough shelter? They are so beautiful it would be a shame if she lost them.

6 Nov, 2009

She will lose them in the frost if she doesn't protect them! That is pretty certain, I'm afraid - although Toto has one that survived. Only my 'Beatson's Gold lived to tell the tale here - and we are in a mild part of the country!

6 Nov, 2009

I'll pluck up the courage to tell her:-)

6 Nov, 2009

Beautiful foliage Spritz...look forward to the extra pink!

7 Nov, 2009

I might take a photo every week or so - just to see how it gets on! :-)
