Sounds like exactly the day I had yesterday. Lovely! Today I’ve started cutting back perennials and weeding. Theres more to do in October than any other time of year!

Your baskets are still looking so good Gnarly, good timing with the mower, did mine Monday and its rained ever since, you sure do like your salad leaves, quite a selection and all growing so well, in fact everything looks good to me, I like the fact you insist on your 15mins, I succeed if my cuppa is partaken indoors, fatal if in the g'house or outside though, lol...

The basket looks terrific, are they the 'saveable' sort or ones that go in the bin? Your Alstomeria is lovely, at first glance I thought is was a Pieris! That's one to look out for, and as for having Red Hot Pokers now, that's amazing, mine are the old fashioned sort and finished weeks and weeks ago. Geums, bought with high hopes, haven't done well for me at all, but perhaps them just need to settle in more, it's such a bright cheerful colour. Having a thing about orange at the moment and plan to have some of the Rudbeckias next year for a 'in your face' splash. You seem to have found lots of colour in the garden still with the flowers and berries.

A day spent sorting out lots of garden jobs is very satisfying! You got so much done and must have been pleased with the results! I love that last photo with the holly, ivy and red berries.

Here the gales have cleared the lawns of leaves but I am not sure yet where they have all ended up!!

That really was good timing! You did well.
My begonia baskets still look good but are showing signs of fading back now, they have been excellent all summer.
You certainly like your salad greens .... my toms are finished & greenhouse cleared out.
I've made a start on cutting down perennials but if you're all sorted you'd be welcome here.
