Never Fear!

No fear here, many photos to come. I love my plants, I love my camera, I love this site… (and now, I’m about to go into my Pollyanna phase). This site is like Shangri-La. Lately, I’ve just been checking the yard, and fearing that the plants were all dried up for the year; SURPRISE, we have had rain all week, and pink peaked through!

So, here we have it – the “No Fear” pink photos. In case you’re wondering, my daughter is a breast cancer survivor and Saturday is the local “Race for the Cure” – do you have “pink ribbons” where you are?

Yes we do have the pink ribbons and the local 'Race for Life' throughout the country. Let's hope they find the cure very soon as this is obviously something very close to your heart. The pink flowers have arrived on cue!
Glad to hear you're enjoying the site and hope to see those photos soon.

Yea, another survivor, so happy to hear that. In Vancouver BC we have a huge participation, 1000's of people participating. My road bike is a pink TREK, so see I am pulling for BC as well. Nice pics.

Funny I thought Clemitis?

well, very close; one is a "blooming maple," the one in my hand. The other is a "turk's cap" pink rather than the usual red. But, I do have both hibiscus and clematis - the hibiscus is a "Confederate Rose" and should be blooming gloriously next month after all the rain we've had!

Does your flowering Maple keep it's leaves during winter season??Mine is a lovely lilac & the leaves sort of "hairy" a lovely tree.

I don't think it's really a tree, but yes, it keeps it's leaves and surprisingly, blooms off and on throughout the year.
