Photos of my Sanguisorbas for Meadowland and anyone else interested
Sanguisorba hakusanensis …
It grows about 3 feet, and here’s a photo showing it, taken in 2009 :-
And a bit I put in a pot, taken 2021 :-
Sanguisorba tenuifolia alba …
Sanguisorba officinalis ‘Little Angel’ …
I also have the more common Sanguisorba officinalis which is simmilar to ‘Little Angel’, but not variegated. I can’t find any photos of it.
Both the latter two are smaller than the first two. They form small mounds and fill out a flower bed rockery or border :-
Interesting to note – Sanguisorba belongs to the Rose family,
and they are close relations of the wild Burnet, which grows in the hedgerows around here.

Interesting plant Hywel lovely colours a great addition to the border, my borders are being overtaken by welsh poppies and bluebells at the moment I shall wait for them to finish flowering and then thin them out - they still come back the following year as strong as ever
