Purple flowery things

When we went to Matlock a couple of Sundays ago we called into the local GC.

We didn’t have anything in particular in mind, just fancied a look around!

There were loads of bulbs on display (Obviously!) and while we were looking around a lovely young assistant came and asked if we needed any help.

On the spur of the moment I decided we needed a purple display.
Dont ask me why but we did. Lol

So the following is what I have done.

These are the bulbs:
3 X Hyacinth Violet.
6 X Tulip Negrita and
16 X Crocus Ruby Giant

Now the Tulips will grow the largest, aprox. 50cm and the Hyacinths next at roughly 25cm with the Crocus coming in at around 15cm

So the planting has followed that plan with the biggest in the middle, coming down in height to the smallest around the outside

After filling up with compost I have placed it at the end of one of my new raised beds with another (which I did earlier and is yellow and white) on the other side.
I think I’m getting ‘into’ these flowery things!

you are hooked ian heheh :o) nice to combine them anyway

Apparently San, mixing them is better for both. The flowers bring in the bee's etc. to polinate the veg and the veg do something (which I have forgotton and will have to read up about again) for the flowers! Lol ;~)))

I've shown it who's boss now! It was more a case of creating another one for all the stuff yet to be cleared but involved tinkering with the other one a bit. All set up now and no tiggies although there was one sitting on the drive the other morning at 7am. I had to shoo it away so hubby could get his car out. Then it ran to the road so I had to chase it back to safety with some difficulty (all in my dressing gown)! I was surprised how big it was.

LMAO! I bet that was a sight to behold!!
