postman delivers good weather news

article in today’s newspaper………..
a postman renowned for accurately predicting the weather using ancient methods claimed today that our lost summer was about to return.
he predicts the weather by examining the habits of animals, birds, and even pets.
the 60 yr old says that the heather is blooming in Donegal and that the animals are now heading back up the hills, when the animals come down the hills its a bad sign as they are looking for shelter as they did last week. but when they head back up and into open spaces then good weather is on the way. in the last couple of days the deer have started to move back up the mountains.
I’m with this guy lol our government forecasting agency says more wet weather is on the way so ill go with what the postie had to say .

Lets hope so Irish. I thought about hiring some flippers to try to get around my garden in all the rain. Today has been a little brighter. The Lilly Beetles returned to my lilies this afternoon when the skies brightened up and they were soon dealt with!. Im not sure if that is a good sign of better weather to come, but several pairs were mating on the Lily stems!
Anyway, your message cheered me up!
All best wishes,
Grenville.

Andrea, my tomatoes are green too but today i thought id give the suggestion on here a try so ive put them in a paper bag with a ripe banana, let you know how it goes

I've only had ONE red tomato so far - and guess who went into the greenhouse and ate it before I could pick it! You're right - HENRY! I am keeping my fingers crossed that the folklore is true, Irish! Mind you, it's quite difficult typing with my fingers crossed! LOL.

Where I lived before moving here there was a man who predicted the weather by noticing birds and animals. He'd wander across the hills just looking at things. He was the best weather forecaster I've ever seen. I'd listen to him more than the weather people on the tv. He always seemed to be right.
I hope your "postie" is accurate Irish.

Irish----- You wont believe it..... after a sunny start this morning we saw some menacing thunder clouds and now its much brighter so we might be having better weather soon. I didn't need my flippers this morning or have to waddle around the garden like a duck! Sorry Ams we haven't succeeded in sending some rain up to you!
8 Aug, 2008
