Hi Irish, whose is the sweet little face on your avatar? Looks friendly! where I live geraniums would never make it if I left them in my garden...lol. My dad used to knock them out of pots or planter and leave them to dry out on the floor of a root cellar... Mom used to grumble about all those dead things, but come March they would start to look lively again... they are an amazingly resilient plant.
My dad's favourite colour was Salmon Pink. Caught a glimpse of the water feature in the background...got fish?

hi Lori,
the wee face belongs to meg,,, one of our rescue dogs, shes about 10 yrs old now and your right , she is the most friendliest dogs. i put a pond in, 3 yrs ago, was a ground level one but last yr i decided to change it and raise it up, i put decking around the top of it so now when i get a chance i can sit on the side of the pond and watch the fish.. last count i had 25, mostly just comets, and goldfish, i have one koi. hope to add more this summer.

What a bargain for these primroses! I could jump on a no-frills flight, stock up, and still be "quids in", as they say. They also look good in the basket. I should, however, check out my local B&Q for this. Many thanx for this!

Hi David, i too thought it was 2 good a bargain to pass up.
i also got 12 pansy's for 1.95 and 12 viola's for 1.95.. they had quiet a few plants reduced in price when i was there. lol i would imagine your local B&Q would have the same , if not then check out the ryanair website lol

I love old baskets. I have an old funeral basket with a huge handle on it that I am very fond of. I plan on placing a potted Ivy in it and letting the Ivy climb op the handle.

lol forgive my ignorance but whats a funeral basket?

20 Mar, 2008

Hi Irish...over here...the funeral basket it a large container that can hold an arrangement of flowers or a vase, or even a planting... they are usually about 24 to 30 inches tall counting the large loop of a handle... and they are placed against a headstone or behind it... sometimes they are used as wreath supports... Mike must be a florist. right Mike?
