Over the moon with my 3 olives!

Tidying up the rockery and the bottom of the bund, yesterday, I had a lovely surprise! Between sweeping and pocketing fallen leaves and a bit of weeding, I spotted my little olive tree in the top corner of the rockery had sprouted 3 little green olives.
It’s only a couple of feet tall, purchased about 3 years ago. This year it has come alive, putting on some growth. I’m very pleased. I shall keep my fingers crossed it will flourish and lend a touch of the Mediterranean ☺️

That’s terrific Kate. I have a little olive tree too - with fruit - but not sure if it’s ripe enough to use 😕.

Kate, what type of soil is yours in? Mine’s in a pot, but maybe it would grow more in the ground? Now posted 🙂.

Hi Sheila, thanks. I’ll have a look at your post in a tick.
My olive is in pretty poor soil with nothing added. It’s on the lower end of the bund hill which we’ve sectioned off as the long stretch of rockery area. It seems to have ‘awoken’ his year. It’s sheltered of sorts and it’s in the sun much of the day. 😊
