Wet Wednesday, but burst of brightness late in the day.

Making my way back from Lincoln via some villages on Wednesday, I stopped off to take some pics once I’d finished my visits.
It was absolutely pouring down on the A15 Lincoln road as I was driving along, miserable and not pleasant.
However, after my last call in one of the villages I drove back towards the Humber bridge and the sky brightened.
Time to stop off and take a few pics…
Thankfully the weather is on the change and it looks like we’ll get to enjoy the garden over the bank holiday weekend!!!! Happy gardening everyone, enjoy the warmer, sunny weather! 😊

You always take such beautiful photos Kate.I think you could have a little sideline going there or if you ever tire of your job!!

I don't really know 'your' part of the country (except to drive through it), Kate. Your photos make me want to go and explore the beautiful villages and architecture you have close by. Who'd think of painting a front door pink, but it looks fabulous with the brick colour.
The plants are quite nice, too!!

Always a sign of a super photo when I suddenly feel myself breaking into a smile. You did it again Kate... This time it was the lilac and the woodland.

Josee, you are so right, there are lilacs and wisteria everywhere at the minute and they are so pretty! Sometimes I like to take a pic or 2 if I see nice old cottages or pretty front doors, this pink one caught my eye!

Aw thanks ever so much, Gerardine! That’s a lovely compliment! You are very kind.
I will keep that thought in mind! 😉

Thank you, Ange! I have to say, there are lots of pretty villages in the Lincolnshire area - which I’m so lucky to drive through! I don’t take it for granted..the patients are a lovely bunch and it makes the drive to work very pleasant indeed...once I get out of the city traffic of course!
I think maybe the door was painted fairly recently. On the internet, I saw it was previously a dark blue colour.

Sue, that’s a lovely, most welcomed compliment! I’m pleased I could make you smile! Just stopping off for a few minutes here and there...well it’s pretty therapeutic and so nice just to take it all in!

The Wisteria is always such a treat at this time of year.

It sure is, Linda..I have to admire it in others gardens as I’ve tried and failed to grow it..

Thanks Klahanie! The woodland area has wild garlic growing and it’s quite a big area running from village to village...

I should have mentioned it in the blog! Sorry Klahanie. 😊

I agree. Lovely time of the year with all the blossom. Love the Wisterias & the Lilacs. It's also nice to see the houses in the villages. A pink door is very unusual but it looks good & goes with the name Hope House.
