A warm Thursday in Lincolnshire.

The warm sunny weather is finally here! July and the height of summer at last!
I was travelling all over yesterday, stopping off now and again to take a quick snap.
One pic is from the edge of Winteringham village as I made my way back towards the Humber bridge…you can see the bridge in the distance…well, I hope you can spot it!
I really MUST try the deli in Messingham, apparently it’s dog friendly too – wonder what gave that away!
The Old Schoolhouse in the village is meant to be nice too – via a patient’s feedback – plus they have an antique shop too.

lovely photos and I think the bridge from the south always looks so much better than from our side. especially in the dark with all the lights on it.

The sky has been a very intense blue and you've captured it well.

It looks a scenic area, Kate.

Love the name “FETCH” just as long they don’t require one to carry out the takeaway gripped in one’s teeth.

Thank you, Eileen! I have to agree, the bridge always looks more scenic/better from the south bank side too! I can imagine the surrounding countryside around this part hasn’t changed much since Roman times!

Loosestrife, that did make me chuckle - I will be looking now on the way past come Thursday - just to see if this is the case! Joking of course, but, I like your humour! 😉😂

Many thanks, Klahanie. It has been very warm this weekend. I’m sorry your summer is late to arrive in your neck of the woods - is there any sign now that the warm summer weather is around the corner for you yet? I’m keeping everything crossed 🤞

Lovely photo's as always Kate, summer has certainly arrived with a vengeance, its been a scorcher and s'posed to last for another week at least..
Good job it wasn't last weekend, we went on a Charity Westie Walk on that very bridge and then around the country park, they closed the east walkway to the general public especially for us, it was quite a spectable seeing lots of little white wobble bums going across, would have had to be cancelled if it had been today.
There are some lovely places, especially close to the bridge, we did the scenic route home afterwards, lovely Lincolnshire, known for its endless blue skies...
