Raindrops on roses...

Ok..so maybe more like geraniums and dahlias!!! đ
Took these pics on Sunday.
Can’t believe my lavender is trying to flower again, this is one of 2 doing so…
I managed to cut the grass yesterday after work…thank heavens as the deluge came later in the evening.
The Trick or Treaters, in their gazillions, managed to avoid it I’m guessing. I left for yoga at 18.50pm…poor OH. They were still pouring in to the cul de sac as I left!!!
Eve wasn’t too happy with the constant ringing of our doorbell. OH sent me a pic which I saw as I arrived at yoga…she’s wondering where her biscuits are!

Eve is such a pretty cat, I recognize the cross look in those beautiful eyes and I do agree she wants her treats...We are lucky as the trick or treaters around here only go to houses that are decorated, I'm not against them but its easier on our ears if they don't come, Harriet and Pepper make a right racket when someone comes to the door... Lovely photo's Kate...

beautiful photos of the flowers Kate. Eve is such a character and is the dish usually full of her treats?
Our village has the unwritten rule, 'if the house is decorated then you are welcome'. otherwise they don't come knocking. So similar to you Lincs.

That's a good idea. We have a long and dark drive so we don't put the lights on if we haven't any treats. Worked every time up to now!
Kate those raindrop photos are breathtaking!

Delightful colourful photos Kate! And it made me smile seeing Eve patiently waiting for her treats đ.

Great set of photos - you've could make up your own calender!
Eve could be Cookie's double, except for the shorter fur. She's an appealing little girl. I hope she got her treats in the end as a reward for looking so cute.

I love your Dahlias Kate! Mine have just about finished now.
We don't get any door knockers where we live Kate!
I can't believe how much Eve looks like our cat Mickey!
Not with us now sadly!

Thank you, Callie! I can just imagine what sheâs thinking..what on earth are these things doing here where my biscuits usually are? đ

Aw thank you, Sue, yes, those eyes!!! Not an amused cat at all!
We had so many children, it was constant bell ringing from 5pm! I donât mind really as they arenât horrid little âmonstersâ or greedy..fortunately.
I noticed when I drove out of our cul de sac there are a line of cars parked nearbyâŚsome mustâve have driven to our area from elsewhere.
I fully understand Harriet and Pepper being restless when the door knocks, I think our pets can be quite wary and on edge. Thanks again, Sue!

Thank you, Paul!!! Iâm not overly keen on Haribos, myself đ, but, OH polished some of them off!!!

Thatâs lovely, thank you, Eileen!! The dish isnât usually for her, but, she jumps up on this kitchen peninsula for her âDreamiesââŚwe donât prepare food or the like here, so itâs not a problem. However, she was a bit peeved by the unusual dish of sweets that werenât for her! Itâs her little spot and some out of place dish had appeared đ¤¨
I have to agree, I do think the children only approach the houses decorated. OH had put out some flashing pumpkins along with our actual pumpkins.
Some neighbours had gone full on Halloween!!! Ghouls and ghosts hanging from windowsâŚskeletons on front lawnsâŚ

Sue, my friend is the same, lights out and stay hidden..our living space is mainly at the rear of our house, so when we canât be bothered with all the fuss, weâll put our front lights out and retire to the back!!!
Thank you for your lovely message about the pics!

Aw thanks, Sheila!! Yes, OH had to move the treaters sweets and give in to our spoiled cat and her glaring stare!

Ange, thank you!! Thatâs a very lovely comment!!
I do agree with you, she does look like your Cookie! Cookie is a smashing cat too.
But of course, OH said sheâd been such a good little cat, he gave her extra treats!

Thank you, Rose! They seem to have been at their best this past fortnight, although the peachy coral coloured ones have been nibbled.
I remember you saying that Eve looks the double of Mickey beforeâŚmust remind you of the lovely times you had. They really do fill our hearts donât they!

Great photos as always Kate, nice to see the raindrops on all the flowers. You must have a very good camera. Eve is a lovely puss, thanks for showing a pic of her. We didnât get any trick & treaters, thank goodness. They donât come to our Close. Donât know what to make of the last comment, I have flagged it.

Oh thank you both, Josee and Klahanie! I noticed this âpersonâ had âtaken onâ my posts as well as a few others too! Scary indeed. Worrying also.

I felt bad for flagging it yesterday but not sorry now I know I wasn't alone in thinking there was something "dodgy" about it
