Some random pics from my parents visit.

My parents drove down last week and spent several days with us.
I managed to remember to take some pics, but, forget to do so at times 🙁
It was a lovely visit, we’re both a little tired this evening. Still managed to get the laundry done and some gardening.
I’m driving up to Scotland at the weekend. It’s my niece, Hannah’s 18th and Dad’s birthday too. So, I’ve taken next week off.
St Mary’s Church, Beverley. It had a wonderful display of carved heads depicting ‘Women of Influence’, locally and globally. From Marie Curie to Amy Johnson.
Outside St Mary’s.
Bert’s, Italian. There are 2 here. This is the smaller restaurant. Saturday lunch by the marina.
Sunday Afternoon coffee and cake at the Humber Bridge GC and restaurant. The Tileworks.
Fresh flowers from The Minster craft Market on Saturday morning.
Minster mouse on our church pew. Bought at the craft Market.
Mum bought my 2 nieces a handmade journal each. The lady selling them had put so much work in to them.
Sunday afternoon..what else would a sleepy cat do!

Thank you, Klahanie, pleased you enjoyed the blog. Eve was tired out with all the extra attention!

Thank you, Julia. They seemed to enjoy the visit - albeit tired in the evenings. Dad was up early every morning to enjoy a daily walk along the Humber estuary.
Yes, you're right, I've been to this restaurant and several round about the marina with friends, all just that little bit different too.

Thank you, Eileen. You're right there, we've so many interesting places around us to visit and enjoy. I had forgotten about the craft fair too, until OH reminded me. A colleague of his, his daughter had a stall there. So, we popped along to see her too.
Thanks again, looking forward to visiting, hopefully the drive up is straightforward 🤞

Thanks kindly, Chris! The craft fair was lovely. Lots of gorgeous handmade jewellery, soaps, blankets, cushions, journals, scones the size of dinner plates and intricate decorative cakes!!! Lots of knitted and crochet items too. Plus flowers and perfume.
Lovely to see!

Thank you, Sheila. That's kind of you. Yes, the lady who made the journals was lovely, she said it takes 2 days or more to make 1. She said she always feels quite attached to them! I guess it's that personal touch and all the hard work.

Looks like the weather for an interesting visit. I have sympathy with their feeling a little tired in the evening! Our cats seem to have enjoyed the best weather, and know how to 'flop out'!

Interesting blog. I’m glad your parents had such a nice visit & hope that your drive up to Scotland is trouble free. I & my cat have been enjoying the sun😊.

Thanks Ange, we were fortunate with the weather, as today, it’s flipping freezing! I actually had my heated seat on in the car as I went on my rounds!
I do think if you’re active all day, for several days, it definitely takes its toll on you, doesn’t it!
Our cats certainly find the right spots to catnap on a warm day!

Good to hear we’re all enjoying the sunshine, cats always included, of course!

A lovely blog Kate, time spent with parents is very special and you made the most of it. Liked the picture of the cat reclining on her cushion, obviously a very aristocratic cat.lol.
