New beginnings

I hope you`ve all had a lovely Easter and that the weather has been kind to you. I must admit we`ve had a shower or two over the weekend but it`s better today with only a couple of spots of rain, the forecast is for an improvement for the rest of the week. Despite having the family to stay I`ve still managed to work in the garden. I had to work this morning and being a bank Holiday we were quite busy you would expect. Its getting to the time of year that I like the best workwise, seeing all the plants being sold while I take mental notes of any that I think would be nice in MY garden. While outside this afternoon I took some photos of the new growth that is coming through. Its always lovely to see new shoots poking through the soil looking brand new and ready for the Summer.
Acer "Ariadne
It will be interesting to see this Aqualegia (not sure what type yet) flower through the Hellebore that its decided to grow through.
Astrantia Major
Crocosmia “Lucifer”
Acer
Rosa “Laura Ford”
Lonicera “Halliana” I planted this one this afternoon, it looks a really healthy specimen.
Lonicera “Horwood gem”
The Magnolia is looking lovely at the moment but it usually gets battered by March winds. This year it might be lucky and escape the weather seeing as how it has flowered so late.
This Peony is coming through well. I`ve had it for years and it keeps getting better and better.
I was given these Pushkinias so I`d better put them in before the foliage starts to die off.
This Skimmia “Obsession” was planted in memory of Jake and I`m happy to say how well its doing.
A sideways view of my Spring planted wall manager.
Bye for now and enjoy your gardens. :o)

Sandra, everything is looking so healthy in your garden, I love the Halliana honeysuckle. How lovely it's been to have a blue, almost cloudless sky for a change. : o ) )
