Shopping in the rain, lol...

Last week out of sheer boredom (you know the feeling on all those rainy days) I decided to read some of my emails instead of deleting them all, I found one of interest and had a look at what was on offer, pleased I did and placed an order which I`m delighted to say arrived today…
As you can see it is for tomatos`s and would look good on the patio but I`ve put cucumbers in mine and placed it in my greenhouse…
The bag itself is larger than the tubs I usually use so I`ve placed two in it, shouldn`t be a problem as I always had two plants in my usual containers and have always been satisfied with both the size and amount I get from my plants in previous years..
Two in a pack so another one to plant up…
Added blue pellets as the snails have found some of my plants, won`t harm any birds in here….
The pic below is blurred but you can still make out the new shoots, very pleased to see them as its my clematis cutting taken last year from my dads garden, its a white one and is a real beauty when in flower, I know I could buy one but it wouldn`t be the same….
Hostas and Lilies coming along better now we are getting some sunshine again…
Mum and dads tree is looking good in the sunshine.
The Amalenchier blossom has about finished but it still looks good behind the Bridal Wreath, they provide a bit of colour at the bottom of the dogs run…
Cut and grow lettuce also coming along, one of the cats jumped from the fence and landed smack in the middle of the trough so I`d better move them, lol..
Not a bad day today, sunshine with a bit of warmth….

I'm pleased to hear there's some warmth in your sun Sue. It's as cold as January here
:o( Don't mind the rain, but I hate cold temps :o(
Anyway , it's nice to see your clematis cutting has taken. No it wouldn't be the same if you bought one, wouldn't it ... this one is from your dad's garden.
I do like that thing you sent for, and good luck with your cucumbers ... I hope you get lots :o))

Great buy - things are starting to grow here too, had sunshine today, for most of the day. Nice at last but think it is just a blip I have seen the forecast for tomorrow - wind and yet more rain - rest of week not good either. Glad we had some sun today and managed to get some jobs outside done. Enjoyed the blog thank you x

Your Hostas are doing great Lincs bigger than mine, like the planter for your Toms (something eaten mine) good job I`ve got extra plants to replace them.
Love the idea of having a cutting from your Dads clematis, it will be nice to see its progress.

It's all looking good! I am feeling slightly envious! We are in our autumn here, so I had intended to do some weeding as will wait until spring before I start planting again, but poured boiling water over a couple of fingers a few days ago, so won't be doing that for a little while.

Lovely blog Lincs. So nice to see everything growing so well in your garden. Your greenhouse looks like mine - full to bursting. Lets hope it starts getting warmer soon so we can transfer all the plants outside.

That all looks so good, Lincs :)))
Your tomato thing looks like a great idea - I have these spirally things but I've found that they don't work very well in pots - too wobbly!

Back to the armchair gardening today, not even worth taking a paddle down to the greenhouses, I`d get soaked going between them, the tomato`s will have to be patient a bit longer, hope hubby gets home as I`m on school run again, lol....
Karen I haven`t used them before, in fact I`d never even seen them, the frame is quite strong and forms a tripod, I`ve placed it right down into the compost in fact its down to the bottom of the bag so standing firmly, its a case of wait and see how it goes.
Sbg, its made by a company called Haxnicks and I purchased it from Two Wests & Elliott online £13.99 for a pack of two plus postage......

I have fallen behind again Lincs... Mum & Dad are happy in your garden, so am I. What have you done with the dogs?

The main garden is swimming Pimpernel so they are banned at the moment, its a good job the run is a big one, they don`t like it but I`d end up with a paddock if I let them in there...
