Autumn part 2 (the front garden)

Ok, I’ve taken some photographs in my front garden, but the weather has been a bit dull today. Tomorrow could be even worse so here goes. The garden, Geraniumdad, is 94 ft by 187 ft with the house sitting on the hill. I think my neighbours think I am mad as I worked this out with string and a measuring tape. My husband knows I am mad so he just ignored me. The front garden is more majestic with tall trees, but has enough evergreens to look beautiful in the winter.

Oh, Linda, it is a fabulous retreat....so nicely tucked away from other houses...and the driveway meandering through. It looks idyllic...you are sure lucky to live in such a beautiful place...mature planting makes so much difference to a garden.
Top marks for all your measuring efforts too! I like that your hubby just ignored your antics....it's more peaceful that way usually! lol

We had a friend here this afternoon and they were trying to work out what I was up to in the hall with so much string. My husband thought I might be measuring it for a new carpet. "Don't ask her how long a piece of string is, she just doesn't know". They think they are so funny!!! It took me ages to get the knots out.

Now thats really funny, I applaud you Linda for ignoring hubby, they do think we are a bit wayout sometimes but I know I can cope better than my OH, I fetch my own tools and put them back when finished, get on with jobs without having to plan for weeks (sometimes years lol) and don`t need a dogsbody to order about constantly. Bless him...
Loved the tour around your garden.........

I have to wonder how your neighbors could see you measuring through all that majesty - thoroughly jealous in the very nicest way - and definitely hear you re the 'weeks, sometimes years' of planning hahahaha =)

You have a wonderful garden. It must look lovely in all seasons.
Don't worry about being mad. It's probably one of the reasons your husband loves you.
I'm mad myself, and everyone I love (or even like) are mad. I think it's essential ;o)
Anything else is just boring.
