Looking back at June in the garden

We had a lovely June in Scotland, better weather than July seems to be. We have temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees at the moment.
When I came back from Sweden I had a bit of tidying up to do, but not too much. I had prepared well.
Here are a few of the early plants in my garden.

Beautiful flowers Linda, I agree with Stera, must be difficult to leave it.

Some lovely photos there Linda. Hasn't the weather turned bad? Still...thers only two options...like it, or leave. I noticed that at Eastbourne this week people had on their jackets and coats, even in the sunshine. So its not only the North thats cold. I suppose its proving the climate change scientists were right...wetter, stormier summers and milder winters. No need for any summer clothing any more, nor really any winter woolies. We just seem to get between 5 and 15 all year round!

I was in Sweden for the month of May and returned to the garden as you see it. We will go back late August and Christmas. I miss the Swedish garden when I am here. The Irises were wonderful when I wasn't there. The weather is hotter and I love to potter and build something new. There are also two ponds one being pretty big. Loch Atherton.
Plants are difficult to get and expensive. There are so many plants I would love to take there from my own garden.
It just isn't the same Karen. Pottering in the warmth and wandering in the garden after dinner with your shorts on. Bliss!

I'm so jealous...it just looks a wonderful peaceful place Linda!

I enjoyed viewing your varied and colourful plants Linda.
Karen ... I put a lightweight jumper on last Monday ... just could not stay warm so it isn't always the 'tropical South' in June!

It has been really cold again here today, Shirley. Tomorrow has to be a bit better. I like the jungle look too Amy. Leafy I call it.
Thanks for the lovely comments everyone.

Sorry to hear that Linda ... pretty warm and sunny down here today ... I cut and edged the lawn wearing a t-shirt ... bit different to last weeks chilly days!

We had a visitor today and we took him for a walk up the hill at the front...I was wearing a rain jacket and hat! He took pictures of us and I look like its the middle of winter! 2nd July!!

Garden looks amazing, I too love the jungle look of your garden. What plant is that with the huge leaves. Very impressive.

Looking beautifully lush.

The garden is looking lovely. We had the heating on a couple of times last week and we live in Kent! Yesterday was lovely, sunny and warm. Today it's cloudy and muggy.

It is raining today. I put on a warmer cardigan, Lisa.
From tomorrow it has to heat up but no sun. Why do I live here? I would miss my garden of course.
Hope I can cut the grass in my T-shirt soon, Shirley.
The garden is lush, Siris, because we get so much rain and the Gunnera, the plant with the big leaves, Jen, has grown even bigger. (it likes water)
I always feel embarrassed by our weather, Karen, when we have visitors.
My sister and niece are off to the Queen's Garden Party this afternoon in Edinburgh. The rain will turn the grass to mud. I think they will need their wellies.

Your garden looks fabulous, Linda! :-))
I, too, had to put a light jersey on for a couple of days as well! Today I've been able to spend the day without it! I much prefer it warm to cold! It seems the next couple of days the temps will be on the rise for a couple of days! :-)

Good weather means I am back to painting the windows, Balcony. A bit of evening gardening but back to the grind.
I have finished the back and the side windows, just the front to go. :o)

Hope you managed to finish painting the windows, Linda.
What a few hot days we have had again! From jumper to shirt sleeves then back to jumper only to end up in shirt sleeves once more! What crazy weather we are having!!!

I have finished painting the windows and the gates. It is raining today but tomorrow has to be nice. Back to working in the garden, I think.

Good to hear you have finished painting! I also did some - though not in my garden! I painted our kitchen ceiling & a couple of cupboards!
I did do a little painting on the balcony also, I painted the shelving I fixed to the wall a few weeks ago. I painted it a pastel green & it seems to look alright!

It is all hard work but looks good in the end, Balcony.

I quite agree with you, Linda! :-)) ?
