I’ve put the crib set into the window with candle and nightlights that are electronic, not real flames. Christmas cards are arriving through the door and I am really feeling Christmassy. My legs are working a lot better now and I am going for longer walks. We went to Carsington Reservoir a couple of days ago and although it was sultry with some mist around, It was good to be out in the fresh air for a short while. We saw a hare running followed by a stoat….a little further along we saw the hare running the other way with the stoat in pursuit. I don’t know if he managed to catch his speedy prey or not, but it was a glimpse of the wild. This morning we walked around the small gardens down the road. The river seemed calm for once, and we saw the Peregrine sat in one of the trees by the river. Plenty of Ducks around in pairs. It’s nice to be able to get out and about a bit again and my legs are getting stronger.
Gerry and I wish everyone a very Happy Christmas….Linda x

Happy Christmas Terratoonie, and to the gorgeous Conker, Truffle and Crocus. xxx
Thankyou Paul, One of my neighbours gave me some of the crib set and I added to it. Although I have some discomfort with the knees I am not in the pain I was in and it's lovely. Happy Christmas to you and you family. x
Thankyou Hywel and a very Happy Christmas to you. x

Getting rid of pain is the most wonderful gift you can have.
Just hoping my back will be stronger next year, its 3 years since I got the invasive virus in it. Am going to help at a stables in the Spring, as a different type of therapy.
Never give up.

Hi Dianne, sorry to hear about your back pain. I do hope your body fights the virus. It will be lovely working with the horses and ponies. I used to go riding and I helped groom the animals at the little stables near us and I used to drive 3 of the ponies sitting in a small cart. I learned about the different harnesses and cleaned them as well. The animals all had different temperaments and you have to be aware of that, but they all need a little bit of love and attention. Think positive, make the most of each day as best you can, and as you said never give up.
Hope you have a good Christmas. Linda x

Hi Sterra, There are lots of lovely places to visit here in Derbyshire. Seeing the Hare and stoat was just an amazing glimpse and of being there just at the right moment. Hope you and your family have a really lovely Christmas. x

Thanks Linda. Lovely to get the tree up isn't it, no matter how big or small the tree is it adds a special something to the room and makes it Christmassy. Save some of the Brandy for the pudding!!! Happy Christmas...Linda x
Thanks Peterathome and I hope you have a lovely Christmas.
Thanks Dave, Happy Christmas to you and your family. Your Nativity set sounds very nice, and it's a reminder of love shared to everyone. I keep seeing the Peregrine sitting on the tree by the river. I always know when he's not on the Mill as the pigeons line up there. We see Kestrels, Buzzards and Sparrow Hawks, so lots of wildlife about.
