ebay bargain!

Hello I have a very shady corner in my garden that only seems to grow snails!I decided to have a feature there to fill it in and came accross an old Shed as it was listed on ebay!I managed to win it for the handsome amount of £30. When we went to collect there were mice living under the floor and the guy was so ashamed he knocked another ten pounds off!It was brown stained but needed lots of loving with broken windows and damaged floor and roof!We got it home and mended the rotten bits.I found a really good cuprinol garden paint in B&Q which covered in two coats which I cant recommend enough as the wood was very dry! Then went for cream windows and actually found the curtains in a local charity shop bin for £1!
Think I have spent a total of £45 and it looks really pretty, the boys love it although I would like to use it!Going to plant up lots of old pots round the base for a country feel and maybe add window boxes!Just need to come up with a name for my little cottage and maybe a wooden animal or two!

What a lovely job you've made of the shed. It will look lovely with a few pots around it, and the window boxes sound a great idea. I love my new shed too, such a peaceful place to sit in, especially when its raining and you can't get on outside, there's always lots of things to do in there.

Wow is gorgeous, I've got massive shed envy. You've made an excellent job of doing it up, it's really pretty. Little wooden hedgehogs would look good outside with your pretty flower pots I think.

wow wow wow - i did the same thing re. old playhouse on ebay, painted it to look like a beach hut (but distressed looking - like the new owner). It looks nice but not like this - I will load a pic. Mines more beach shack - yours is executive seaside dwelling...........

Beach huts on the market for £12,000 down on the South Coast - truly ridiculous price !
