Garden today

This morning the sun was shining and I spent quite a while clearing the dead stuff away especially around the bog area.
This afternoon the little wagtail is visiting – only the second time of seeing it this year. Last year managed to find a mate and was hoping for some young but no luck!
Its quite surprising that my two fairly aggressive blackbirds just ignore the little wagtail & its been allowed to spend at least 1/2hr searching for the dried mealworms and I expect a few sunflower hearts.

Lincslass My blackbirds see everyone off! The little wagtail is always left alone and he's spending a lot of time here now.
Many plants seem to be flourishing with all the rain and now the sun. The Bergenia are looking really good and I have heathers on the rockeries which are all in flower.
Every year I seem to have less crocus. I stopped buying the yellow ones because the sparrows would tear them apart so over the last few years must have planted hundreds of white, purple etc. but still only a few handfuls here and there. Does anyone know why that might be?

Funny how some plants just don't like some places. I've a friend who can't grow snowdrops and she's tried so hard.
My bergenia looks as though its been in a war zone.

Stera Is your Bergenia a special variety? Mine are the common deepish pink ones - Cordifolia and I have loads so if you would like some just let me know.

Sunny here as well Linmar but was actually very cold today, my blackbirds only ever seem to be aggressive to each other, not the other birds except when something is too close to their nests and then is a different story..
