Some Border Colours. (end of May)

These are pictures of the front garden, which is warm and sheltered and south facing.
Here are some of the plants and colours that i love out there !
2 pictures of gorgeous and beautiful alstroemeria ‘Elvira’ – my absolute favourite !!!
Scabiosa ‘Vivid Violet’
This shows how big the plant is – it’s invading this part of the border, here it’s about 14" in a perfectly round shape !
Clematis ‘Bijou’ – carpeting a different border !
Further along that border – clematis ‘Bijou’ with verbenas, aquilegias, irises, gerberas and dianthus !
Iberis ‘Gibralterica’ – this darker image shows the light lilac hues on it.
Clematis ‘Belle of Woking’
Freemontadendron …. This is in the back garden – i think it was TheOldGunner or TreesandThings that wanted a picture of the whole plant .Here it is with a buddleia, aucuba and viburnum and not very well seen – apart from the butter-yellow flowers which stand out beautifully !

I've just looked at it, i fear someone 'did' mess with your labels because it's quite different isn't it ? How annoying for you, grrr indeed.
I'm glad you like the alstro .... isn't it gorgeous :-))))))))

I wish I was one of your neighbours - being able to walk past your garden every day must be a joy...........and without all the hard work you put in!!!

;-)))
Am in mega pain today Wagger :-(((((
Decided late yesterday to move a small shrub and the place i wanted to plant it in was the worst 'dumping ground' i've yet encountered here, in the end we had to leave a lot of the rocks (builders rubble from 30 years ago) down there :-(
I heaved and dug SO much that there's not a spot of me that's not hurting today - i'm not working outside today :-((((

Hope you're feeling less delicate soon Louise, that sounded like tough work my friend! :~((

Hot bath, hot toddy & long sleep!

Now that really is going beyond the call of duty, Louise. I hope you've had a restful day and are feeling a bit better. I agree totally with Fluff.

Had the long sleep but was still aching, not too bad this morning :-/
Today i think i'll go to work for a rest ;-)

Glad you're improving - a bit drastic, working for a rest! lol.

Home now ;-)
It's been a hard ol' day, poor me ;-)

At least you won't have to go outside watering - or did it not rain in Somerset?
1 Jun, 2010
LOL, oh yes, it's been at it solidly since last evening .... now if only this would happen 'every' evening :-/
Living on this often-windy hillside means such a dry garden :-((

If we could only control the climate the way we (try to) control the weeds. 'Sprinkler on at 10pm - off at 6am please. 23 degrees tomorrow,'
