It looks lovely Mark and I like to think the way Yorkie does and that your Mum and Dad will be looking over you........

it will give you hours of endless pleasure and remind you of your parents. plants and flowers are very good for this.

I find that all sorts of things bring my parents to mind, the african violets on the windowsill, the daffs he planted for us when we moved here,and the tree he planted here for his mum amongst the many x

That's brilliant, Mark, and a very fitting way to remember your parents. Hope you have lots of lovely sunshine this year so you can make good use of the area for breakfast, lunches, teas and evening BBQs :)

what a lovely memorial in memory of you mum and dad. and what a lovely spot to sit and remember them. i'm sure your mum and dad will be with you there in spirit and enjoying the garden and thinking how proud they are that you built all that in their memory.

Mine have both gone a few years now, ... and today, 11th Jan, would have been my dad's birthday. It's nice to be able to remember them.

Hi all,thankyou so much for all your lovely and touching comments.We will enjoy sitting here with our happy memories of my mum and dad.I know they would certainately have loved this as they always enjoyed sitting in the garden.Since the last photo i have now placed a nice light inside for early mornings and late summer nights.Cannot wait for the climbing plant to cover it this summer and blossom.
