My Escape Day

I am not a person that enjoys sitting around…..I get very fidgety….So when we go off for a weeks fishing, Ray’s favorite past time {mainly because he does just sit} I insist that we have an away day We went down to Hayle in Cornwall, where we met up with our friends who came out with us for the day and to show us around…….Starting with Paradise Park……..
I will apologise now, as I wrote all these birds names down , and then lost the list…..oops
I do remember that this is a Lorikeet
And this was a Kookaburra………
This Otter was so sweet……
This is Ray with our friends Maureen and Roger……oh no …not another Maureen…..
Then we moved on to Sennon Cove
These are the steps down to Milack Theatre, which is open air and built into the rocky outcrop on the coast. Then we went on to Lands End
I have never been to Lands End before and I found it awe inspiring…….I would loved to have had the time to walk along the coastal path….and really see… I was amazed that everything there closed at 5 pm as there were still so many people there…….We watched a storm coming in from the Atlanticand turn the skys so black
I hope you enjoyed my day out as much as I did. And I promise I will catch up on all you pic over the next few days ,,,,,,,,,,,

Lovely pics, especially of the beach (turning green with envy here, lol)
I have such a happy memory of taking my dear Mum to the Minnack Theatre years and years ago, I must have been about 21, and my then boyfriend was a complete opera fanatic. We sat in gorgeous hot sunshine and watched a production of The Marriage of Figaro. In the middle of one of the most rousing bits, a tiny fishing boat passed slowly behind the stage, way out to sea and one of the men in it stood up and mimed as if he was singing, it was brilliant.
She's never forgotten it.
