Thanks... really good to set it in print

Will definitely go and buy this one :~)))
6 Nov, 2009
Have you had to wait a long time for the article to go into print ?
6 Nov, 2009
Nope was written in October... my first commissioned piece :-)
6 Nov, 2009
Maybe they will ask for more...
6 Nov, 2009
I can vouch for how much hard work Mrs MB put into the article. Now, seeing it in print, it was worth all the effort.

~ Congratulations!

Thanks Arlene
6 Nov, 2009
Congratulations :o)
6 Nov, 2009
Congratulations:o)))
6 Nov, 2009
GREAT!!! Well done, Mg! xxx
6 Nov, 2009
Thanks all - I think I prefer the dog to the toad Spritz - lol
6 Nov, 2009
Congratulations MG =^..^=
6 Nov, 2009
Well done MG Keep up the good work!
6 Nov, 2009
I'll try... hopefully other garden mag editors will read and decide to ask me to write something. I'm also going to have a monthly slot on the BBC Hereford and Worcester gardening programme... I'll know more about that next month :-)
6 Nov, 2009
Congratulations MG :-)
6 Nov, 2009
well done that woman:o)
6 Nov, 2009
You will have to let us know when your slot is as should be able to get it on DAB.
GW presenter in the making LoL :~))
6 Nov, 2009
Not on your Nelly Pip... I know my area of expertise and no way do they want and 60+ granny on GW...
6 Nov, 2009
Don't see why not. Lots of people like Christine whoever LoL
6 Nov, 2009
Why Hereford and Worcester, Mg? It's a bit far from home!
Gone back to my original avatar, btw, as you've probably noticed. LOL.
6 Nov, 2009
Yeah well... the sagging holes in my knowledge would be difficult to hide! Toby did a whole moon growing thing last year in the mag. but I seriously doubt they would want someone like me chatting away of GW!
6 Nov, 2009
Frankly MG...by the sounds of you ....I would take that risk willingly and certainly instead of Toby who is a stilted presenter that does NOT hold ones attention.....yawn yawn ... LOL
Keep us posted when and where we can hear you ....any hope of Beechgrove Garden benefiting too?
6 Nov, 2009
Spritz I send out info every month to every gardening mag/newspaper column/radio,tv show on growing by the moon. I've already been on various gardening progs. including the BBC Scotland Potting Shed... I'm happy to blether and give info so long as I don't end up with egg on my face :-) Beechgrove Alz... who knows perhaps - I could get to enjoy that, so long as I didn't have to go to Aberdeen!
6 Nov, 2009
Tut Tut...MG...the Oil Capital of the UK....I AM surprised at you... NOT!
Can't stand the place - unless I really HAVE to go...like today ...when it was all bleak and busy and horrid and I was being driven - which helps! Strangely enough both he and I agreed as we were coming along Union St that the best road in the city ....is the one out of it!!!
6 Nov, 2009
Oooh! I 'know' someone famous! :-)))
6 Nov, 2009
Spritz whom? me... nah!
Alz. I don't like any large conurbation and to have to drive 2 hours or catch my free bus which would take even longer to get there - thanks but no thanks - now if they could be persuaded to follow Mr MB and self in our new garden that would be a different thing...
6 Nov, 2009
Congratulations! That's great news! Finally all your hard work is paying off!
6 Nov, 2009
Well ask them dear MG..just ask them!!! It sounds a great idea and well deserving of a visit by the cameras.....dear old Jim McColl and Carol would probably jump at the chance.
6 Nov, 2009
Excellent! What a great feeling it is to finally get articles into print ( I write, occasionally, for family history/genealogy magazines ) and I'm off to buy a copy of 'Grow It!' right now! Well done you!
Can't say I blame you for not wanting to travel to Aberdabber ( sorry, it's what I disrespectfully call it...like you, I can't stand the place, and I'm on a direct bus route! ) so yes, I'm with Alz...try to persuade Abberdabber to come to YOU!
Congratulations!
7 Nov, 2009
I wonder... it might just be something they would be interested in doing B.
7 Nov, 2009
Go for it MG! Get those persuasive talents working....I mean, doing a spot in situ, where you are actually conducting the moon trials makes far more sense....well, it does to me, anyway.
Good luck!

Thx. B
7 Nov, 2009
well done MG, so pleased for you, what an achievment :o))
7 Nov, 2009
Thanks Sandra and all for your kind words...
7 Nov, 2009
Brilliant! Well done...dead proud of you :)))) xxx
7 Nov, 2009
Grrr....can't find a copy of the mag.. our delightful Indian newsagent looked at me blankly this morning...but will try again when the shops open on Monday...there is another half-decent outlet. The problem with one-horse towns!!
7 Nov, 2009
Hi Alz. wasn't in our local T. store today so may just take that bit longer to come north... You can order the mag on line from the Grow It! website and it still costs the same as buying in a shop.
7 Nov, 2009
congrats!
=^..^=

Congratulations! Interesting reading at the Findhorn link: complicated, tho! That planner sounds essential to keep track.
8 Nov, 2009
Thanks MG...I did spot that possibility when I checked up on line...so may have to do that yet. I'm afraid I gave up reading gardening mags some years ago...as the articles I was interested in were far outweighed by the ones I really didn't need nor want....so am badly out of touch with the printed word these days!!!
8 Nov, 2009
Me too Alz...
8 Nov, 2009
I couldn't get hold of a copy either, but it may be out later next week....publishers usually send a free copy to their contributors about a week before the magazine in question gets into the shops.....fingers crossed!

8 Nov, 2009
Well Ben the editor 'said' Friday but who knows...
8 Nov, 2009
I've just got a copy, MG - and it was well worth it! Excellent article, totally fascinating ( but complex until you get your mind-set into following the moon's progress, isn't it? )
I'm not sure I'll be giving it a go any time soon, but it's great to know that someone is!
Well done!
;-)

Hi Brenda - glad you managed to find a copy and that you enjoyed the article... yes it can be complicated which is why you really do need a calendar to follow.
