New box

Well I have been busy again today and I’m shattered !!! I have made a box to house a plastic type planter that I have been using for growing lettuce. I thought I would make it before I plant more seeds. It wasn’t as easy as I first thought as when I started to assemble it I found that a lot of the wood had warped so I had a job fixing it together. Not to be outdone I persevered and managed it in the end, I bet I sleep well tonight !
I finally managed to get it together.
Upside down and painted..
In situ with the plastic planter in ready to plant my lettuce seeds.
2nd coat of woodstain and lettuce seeds planted !!

I hope the lettuce you grow in it repay you by being a good crop as a reward for all your hard work!

it looks perfect, as if its shop bought! I certainly couldnt make anything like this, so im well impressed with your work. I grew my 'cut & grow again' lettuce in a old belfast sink, forgot all about it and its now gone to seed!!!!

I agree Di, I love looking at what ideas everyone comes up with - It makes me want to get on and do things..
Well Louisa I have planted half of the seeds and will plant the other half when they start to come up...fingers x
Thank you Summer, it's far from perfect but would do a blind man good to see it Ha Ha..fancy forgetting your lettuce,at least it grows quickly.
Thanks Scottish, I must admit I get a great sense of pleasure when I look at something I made for virtually nothing.
Lol I do seem to be at the moment Lincs, I'm sure it won't last and I don't think I have room for anything else ! Watch this space.....

Thanks Scottish, I must admit I get a lot of pleasure just looking at the things I've made, especially when they have cost me next to nothing.

These ideas help to interest other members to
improve their gardens visually, when the plants have
all gone in the winter.
Thanks for sharing.
I finally painted my dead Apple Tree trunk with Sky Blue
outdoor paint. It makes a statement now. ( Being my version of The Eiffel Tower. ha ha ) Also painted an old metal wash tub with the same colour, to set up on bricks on the opposite side of my garden, to echo the colour.
Have forgotten his name now - ? Claude M? I think my
blue is better than his because it echoes the blue of the
sky. Our new wheelie bins are his Blue.
