Friday morning hurray it’s raining so now the snow will thaw, then a thunderous crash so I rush to the window to see what on earth…..
This is what I saw
Not only the carport but the contents are smashed to pieces too, fortunately the car was in the garage!!
Alas my seeds in their trays are under 4’ snow and the metal garden table they were on is broken in two

Thanks Eileen fingers crossed if the snow EVER thaws it's off the roof but 4' deep still over everything were the dry space used to be! :o(( indeed

Sorry to see this ... luckily your car wasn't under all that! Shame about your lovely garden table too ... as Irish said, I hope it all gets sorted out quickly and painlessly for you.

How terrible ! I hope it has cleared now and you can get on with sorting it all out. It must have been heavy to break a metal table. Good job you were not standing under there at the time.

Wow! Thanks for taking these photos as a reminder of the damage which can be done by deep snow....
Sad about your seeds in trays, Neena, but good to know that nobody was hurt...
and your car was safe in the garage....

Oh no, thank goodness the car wasn't there Neellan.
It's just more aggravation now though isn't it .... getting it all sorted out :-/

I thought mine was bad enough,when it happened to my cold frame,but yours is far worse.so sorry Neellan.Its all the clearing up too,of the damaged stuff.
Hope you get sorted soon,and so glad no one was under it ,when it came down...

That's just awful - you poor things! As others have said, though - it could have been worse. Not a lot of consolation, I know, but try to think of it like that.

Aw thank you all for your kind comments
The insurance company has been in touch and I have to get estimates for replacement car port and gutters their Assessor is coming on Sat to inspect the damage I hope the snow has melted by then as it is still covering everything!
