Ship shape and Shiney....

Last weekend to get the garden licked into shape before going away. Everything is blooming and pretty and I’m going to miss potttering about.

My dahlias have really come into their own, Mingus Gregory is still my favourite but the others are gorgeous to.

This one is a pretty thing too, Striped Vulcan :)

We’ve had few sports of rain here and I love the way the petals cup the water.

Plenty of passionfruit on my plant although I am not sure we have the climate to harvest anything edible ? Has anyone had edible passionfruit ?

My peppers are coming along. baby bell peppers, tequila peppers and Cayenne….extra hot cayenne apparently !

I hope these are interesting and don’t bore you all to pieces ! I can’t offer any wisdom on my blogs because I don’t have any, but I am learning :)

NAT x

Love your Dahlias, they are gorgeous Nat. As for the passion flower fruit, I don't know if you are supposed to eat them but years ago, I was selling a house. I had already moved out so the estate agent had the keys. The garden had a huge passion flower growing in it and the bloke who would show any buyers around was from South Africa. Every time he showed the house, he would go into the garden and eat the passion flower fruit. If I was you, I would google it or put it up as a question before eating them. Have a great holiday :-).

do you know how to use the plant 'files' records on here?
if you click on the my news menu you get the section that says write a blog ask a question etc. well further down there is add a plant.
if you click on that it gives you a section to add the plant details name etc and a box to put anything you want. I often say when/where bought how much it cost and where i'm going to put it. then I take its picture and add that too. this then catalogues my plants and if I do do this I can look back on it and use it like my own book.

I just have to remember to update it every time I buy plants. ;o)

I think they are such show-offs. It's like they burst out of the ground and say 'look at me' :)
