Yes Sandra .. small versions of lily like flowers on a perennial shrub worth a try perhaps under your tree if you ve any room left now..

Bonkersbon - We've had these a few years now, but we do grow them in pots. That does give us the advantage of being able to a more sheltered & warmer spot for the winter.

Lovely shot. I took some close ups of my toad lilies at the weekend but all came out blurred. I haven't got you knack. Yours were obviously earlier than mine to flower. There's still only a few open now!

30 Sep, 2009

Its beautiful!
Can someone tell me where Treacle Town is???

15 Oct, 2009

I've grown these toad lilly's and just love them. They are buried under a few feet of snow in the winter and still manage to come through. Mine are grown in the shade and usually bloom from late August till frost in November which is a long bloom time when not much else is going on,

Thanks for the info regarding snow Valerie...we have had a lot over last few weeks and its good to know they will come back.Ours are in semi shade...which seems to suit........
