It comes from the film the Wizard of Oz starring Judy Garland, Dorothy had a dog called Toto, and when she woke up after the tornado in the land of Oz, she said "I don't think we're in Kansas anymore Toto!" Never seen it??

Thanks everyone. I'm sorry Busylizzy I saw the film, probably back in the sixties but don't remember much about it. Mind you I don't remember much about the sixties. As it happens, I don't remember much about the 70's, 80's, or any other date until the present and I'm now trying to forget the present too.
