Have you been to Brodsworth Hall Janey? went a couple of years ago,we took mother in law for her birthday, near Doncaster, only really looked round the Hall mother in law more interested in that than gardens and it was her day, lovely place did have a quick look round the Fern Dell but didn't have time to look round the rest, keep meaning to go back just to look round the gardens, your sort of place I think:-)

Will have to have a visit Simbad....thanks for that.....and nearby too...:o) We were hoping to have a visit to Doddington Hall near Lincoln as they'd decorayed the whole place with dried flowers and produce from the garden, the roads were a bit iffy though, so maybe next year...:o)

Passed Doddington Hall Janey just before christmas, lovely place, have been there in the past to buy our christmas tree, we went to whisby garden centre which is quite near there, nice garden centre with a cafe, does pretty good cooked dinners too, has fishing lake and does have a few plants a bit different bought two lovely saxifrage for new shady border, worth a visit when you go to Doddington Hall :-)

Ooh lovely Simbad........we'll look out for it....I must be getting old..as I absolutely love garden centres! Much sooner go to them than out at night...how boring is that!...Lol! The Saxifrage sound interesting....I'm always on the look out for plants for shade as we have a long shady border one half and one hot dry one, the other!.....Have a lovely Boxing Day (be pleased when it's Spring, will you?)

I'm the same Janey, my daughters think I'm strange, rather look round garden centres than go clothes shopping!!!!!!! how weirds that, to a teenage girl it is I suppose, lol,
Yes have a small wooded area, the only part that was here when we came here, that we're just getting round to sorting, planted hundreds of snowdrops last year, husbands made a few paths, and I've been clearing a few planting areas, now busy looking for plants and seeds, so I can't wait for spring either :-)
Hope you have a lovely day too, hubbys just gone to bed,on nights tonight, so going to have a go on the wii while girls are out, lol, and no-ones watching.
