Thanks Everyone! The Alaska Range was out all through my trip, except the little wrap of clouds shrouding this peak most of the time. This is from a lookout at the top of the pass in the Denali State Park over the East Chulitna river. Highest point in North America, 20,320ft. Don't let the snow fool you, it is about 10C, Spring on the way. (Very Early)

10 degrees here too....;-)

Thanks Gramma and Suey. We get so deeply frozen that the thaw takes a lot of time. All this ice drops the temp once the sun sets very quickly, so still no safe planting. I just loved getting such a clear few days for my travels.

Took a stock of garden to see wat had been lost to harsh weather....pleasantly surprised to see lots of new growth emerging and not as many casualties as feared.Mother Nature...fascinating....

Right place, right time, Ob. The pass is 200 miles south of here. Spring and fall are good times for a clear view, though I could have used one more missing cloud this time. :-)

Lovely picture Greenthumb. We had a warm day yesterday and I bought some plants to put in the garden. The SPring certainly has sprung and everything is trying to catch up as it's all flowering at once.

Richard, I'm glad I'm not growing flowers on this pass myself. Cool and windy wouldn't be the best condition, though from the look of things, the mountains cause a drop of moisture on that side that isn't seen on my side.

Thank you Lori. I do love the air up in the mountains. Its was so fresh and warm that day. I do have many shots to share from this trip but editing them is slower than I expected. I'll get there. :-)
