So now what? I found this at a small Nursery for £1...........:-)))))

Well done. Although I really like it I can't justify buying it as I have so many Hostas, unnamed but each one different

I bought this one last year too Spritz.....

that is gorgeous

Thanks all - did you get a larger version, Motinot? In this case, I don't mind waiting for it to grow....it seems happy there and is a lovely splash of cream and green.

This was apparently a sport from Patriot - I'd like to get it and put them together in matching pots.
23 May, 2010
I haven't seen 'Patriot' - I must keep an eye out for it. Is it similar?
23 May, 2010
Yes, with the colours reversed.
23 May, 2010
Oooh, nice! :-))
23 May, 2010
Have a look on the 'Garden Centre' page - there's a good picture of Patriot there.

Found it - I don't like it as much, though.

I think they are both lovely and want to put them together - with a little yellow flower popping over the top!

That's the plant I discovered last year, Wagger - it starts to flower in April and carries on until November - a shade plant. One of those very useful good do-ers.
'Chrysogonum virginicum'. I hope I got that right...;-)
24 May, 2010
'virginianum' - not exactly readily available, is it? lol. A compact Bidens might work.
25 May, 2010
Thanks. I'd never seen it before last year. I read about a Nursery in an article by Roy Lancaster, and made a foray down there...and there it was! It's a v.v.v. useful and pretty little plant!
25 May, 2010
I'll search harder. :-))))
25 May, 2010
Shall I take a look in the Plantfinder for you?
25 May, 2010
Yes please! Mail order would be best.
25 May, 2010
There are several - I'll PM them to you later. Henry-walking time!
25 May, 2010
Thanks a lot.
25 May, 2010
Thanks - it does stand out in its shady spot. :-)

Thanks, Trev, and welcome to GOY!

I bought 3 of these (minute) last year and they're coming on well, but the man who's doing our makeover said he needed some hostas...so I gave him 2....He gave me a tomato plant a couple of weeks ago and some pelargoniums for my daughters pots so.......my remaining one looks a lot nicer than last year, more white on it, so it's growing on me now..not literally. Just noticed last comment by Trev and thought it was the chap I just mentioned who's doing my makeover, same name lol:-)
29 May, 2010
Funny if it was, Ba!! ;-)))
29 May, 2010
OOOh! That's lovely!

It's going over now, but it's been looking good, Nariz! :-)
