Amy, my OH is desperate to have a dog, not satisfied with having a friends to stay a few weekends ago and there have been quite a few puppy photos on here recently ! I'm a cat person, always been a little edgy with dogs.

Oh I see ! I must admit we still miss our old dog my OH would like another one , we had our son here last week with his young puppy ( 6 months old ) and he played with it all the time , common sense always comes back in the end as we like to get away when we can we are sort of retired , we have a cat ..... maybe one day ... :o)

Such a lot of lovely comments...thanks everyone!!....:o))) Shirley and Amy, it is difficult if you're both not sure, the thing about this little one is that she fits into our lifestyle just great, and she's only small, so easy to pick up...:o) I think it was more me than Ian who wanted her, she'll give me an excuse to go walking and Ian can't with his bad knees...........

Janey ... he does make me feel guilty at times, when Jake came for the weekend, OH produced this scruffy old tennis ball from the garage and said he'd kept it for when Jake came to stay ! LOL ! !

Ahhh He's got it bad Shirley , the very least you could do is buy him a new ball .....LOL.......

Sorry Shirley.....I was deadbeat last night.....mmmmm...I think its our maternal instincts that make us feel bad if our OHs don't have their way Lol! What did you think of Jake in your garden? I know since Lotties been here I haven't spent half as much time in mine, and she does like to rummage through the plants, which surprisingly doesn't bother me at all....:o)) Yes do what Amy suggests and buy a lovely new ball for when he comes again.....:o)
Not so good Amy, but then they've been the same for such a long time...that I know it may sound hard, but it's really up to him to sort them out....you can only lead a horse to water..........
Hi Maggy....her Dad was, and she has longer hair coming, Mum was a smooth haired one.

We had Jake to stay earlier in the year and OH kept the ball for the next time he stayed ! Jake is a very active dog and will chase lawn-mowers, garden hoses etc. for as long as they're in use. There are a couple of pics of him on my photo pages 6 & 7 if you care to look, then you'll see why OH likes him so much !

Very lovely little girl Janey. So cute!! And I'm sure she will grow up protective of the family territory. I'd been thinking about getting a little Jack Russell lately - just what we could do with to keep next doors black tom from terrorising our two poor old elderly cats. They've been too scared to go outside some days. But to be honest we are too lazy to walk a dog so in the end we decided two more kittens might be the answer........lol

Singingmouse......she's great fun, we have two young cats that are tolerating her so far.....we're trying to stop her jumping at their faces...I don't think a Jack Russell would be the best type for your two elderly cats, they're so quick and naturally snappy, even though Lottie is coming on well with her training.....
