River Tay at Newburgh, Fife

On a walk here a couple of weeks ago, I found this boat planted up with geraniums and crocosmia. I liked how the pale blue of the boat helped show off the remaining flowers of the crocosmia.

What a beautiful picture David, I would like that on my wall. Don't think I would ever tire of that view. Make a nice jigsaw too.

Loved the heavy sky - adds "atmosphere" methinks. This is in front of the pavilion of the local sailing club, so is very appropriate. :-))

two of my absolute favourites~! I was raised beside the water and I find that the best mind picture when having difficulty relaxing and getting to sleep..is the memory of the soft lap-lap-lap of the waves on the shore and the smell of fresh wind and water. Mmmmm...wonderful.
The leaves of the geranium look like the variety that I have... very deeply cut, (a beautiful shape, don't you think?) and spicy scented...flowers are like small hibiscus..in a cerise pink. Also, found seed the crocosmias and I'm saving it to plant up next spring. fingers crossed. Interesting that the Acidanthera are cousins to the crocosmia..I can leave the crocosmia corms in the ground over winter; although they are practically identical in shape and size to the crocs, the Acidanthera have to be lifted.

Lori....I was raised near water too...a very small island in B.C. so surrounded by water.

My favourite scene to remember and relax to was laying on the small dock in the sunshine (on tummy of course) and gently feeling the rocking of the wharf and hearing the lap of waves against the nearby shore. You've resurrected some memories there, Lori. :)

Sure could use some nice situation like that today! Away from traffic noise and the puter! (going to shut the lid now and relax..hoping for a drive out for a couple of hours if I can shift hubby...).

LOL.. our water connection sounds very similar, Whistonlass. Hope you have a nice outing. : - ) !!

Yes, Lori...I expect our love of the water comes from both sides of Canada's coasts....mine on the west (Pacific Ocean) and yours in the east (Atlantic Ocean and likely the Lakes of Ontario too).

Yes, we spent a couple of hours at Pex Hill (see my latest blog, if you'd like to read about it). :)
