That looks nice Dd and very practical , funny thing is we have been laying more stepping stones into gravel where the lawn has worn away through an archway , it's all the rain it gets muddy and wears out if you walk the same way enough times ..........

You've made a very nice walkway there, DD....should be easy to mow the grass too....they fit pretty snugly by the look of your photo.

Cinders I do love Heucheras those have done very well doubled in size, the ones at the top of the garden where the soil is heavy have been slow to establish.
Thanks Dawn and Amy......OH put them in and then mowed the lawn and he was happy so cant be bad.

I have to get down on my knees with a pair of scissors to cut around the 7 stepping stones in Mums lawn ! Impossible to use edging shears, I get dizzy doing them ! My late Dad didn't set them quite deep enough. : o (((

Oh dear Shirley that is a bind, OH put them in and he is the one who cuts the lawn, does not trust me!!
Tetrarch the bare soil is for the lavender path, can you see the plants? it is to give them space to grow, so no planting there lol
Glad you like it San.

I realize I am one of the lucky ones as the colour is fine for me, but it is getting out of hand now.

I keep telling myself to just not comment on the site as it is now becoming so wearying and upsetting to see such negativity repeated on so many blogs/questions. I wonder what guests and those newly joined members will feel as they see the irritation and unhappiness amongst us.

It's just the repetitive nature and not the actual dissatisfaction that I'm upset with....I still love GOY and mostly all that Peter and Ajay have done with the website.
And of course I don't like reading nasty or degrading comments...I want to be happy when I log on and read about what everyone is busying themselves with. :)

Hear hear Jacquie..as I mentioned to T/Toonie, its been 4 days, most dont like the blue/white, hope the boys take the hint and lets get on with the important stuff. Hywel's got the right idea...bring back the excitment of finding things in the garden!

17 Oct, 2010

Exactly, precisely !!! Hywel's so right...bring back the excitement of finding things in the garden and I'd add...dreaming up additions/plans for them as well :)
