It's always a shame when the leaves have to fall leaving the bare bones .. I love those toadstools .. :o)) xx

Nice pic Leigh, this is the time of year when it seems it's nothing but leaves, the trees certainly look better "dressed".

thank you i know what you mean amy . i was lucky i took this picture when i did .
nice to here from you doc i hope your well mate .
i keep it well overgrown and hardley ever have to weed it as theres know light .in there somewear is a 5 foot head and a full size swing frame .
ive trained two cherry trees and a eucalypt , a kiwi and a twisted hazle . i keep the bamboos dressed and in buckets with the bottoms out or the proper membrane .
apart from trimming the cherry and dressing the bamboo i leave it to deal with itself apart from rapping a couple of things up for winter . i never pick the leaves up or anything .anything that cant handle nature ie snails, slugs etc just doesnt get baught again .
ive actualy bye accident found something that snails love eating .
i have one of them screw on letter boxes as aposed to the letters comming through the door .if im in a hurry i have a habit of sticking junk mail behind this letter box outside . at first i thaught there was something realy strange hapning to the paper but one rainy night i found the snail culprits munching away . loads of them turning there nose up at the plants and eating the junk mail.
just proves junk mail can be usefull as the trout and carp in my pond love snails lol . take care bye for now .

Good discovery with your junk mail....funny actually! lol

10 Nov, 2010

10 Nov, 2010

Do you get to see the head at this time of year? from the angle you've taken the picture.
Love the toadstools. It's still colourful. well not quitw so now the leaves are off.

11 Nov, 2010

yes definatly see the head more but i like the secretive look and the fact that ive hidden a 5 foot head in a 12 foot garden .

11 Nov, 2010

You've certainly crammed loads in a small area. what does the head look like?

13 Nov, 2010

Nosey you mentioned that your snails were eating your junk mail, so I thought, as we get loads of junk mail, you might like some of mine too, for the snails to eat that is !!!! C'mon Nosey, wake up! x

16 Nov, 2010

ow thanx but no thanx i get more than enough and they wonder why the forests are being depleted thanx anyway lol x .

17 Nov, 2010

I was only joking with you Nosey, it would cost me a fortune to send on my junk mail, we get a bin full each week, crazy !! Those poor trees :~( x

17 Nov, 2010

yes its a shame and does make you wonder how they aford to send all the junk.if all that money was saved imagine how well the trees would do .

18 Nov, 2010

Grandmage....if you want to stop junk mail being delivered you can go to the following websites for more information. It's free and it does work!

http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/mpsr/
and
http://www.stopjunkmail.org.uk/

and to request no junk mail which the Post Office delivers you can go to their website to cancel as well...

http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content1?catId=400126&mediaId=500081

You can also stop most nuisance telephone calls by registering on the TPS website...

http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/

Hope that is of some help to GoY friends and to you especially, Grandmage. :)

18 Nov, 2010

20 Mar, 2011

thanx whistonlass the couple of junk mail things i sent worked a treat thanxagain . if you pm me your addy ill send you some realy nice frameable junk mail for helping them poar trees and stopping me keep answering the door so often well worth it xxx .

12 Jul, 2011

NP....lol If it's all the same to you I'll let you recycle the junk mail :)

I registered for all of those websites too so we wouldn't get junk mail and nuisance unsolicited phone calls but for some reason it doesn't always work out and we get odd bits of junk mail or those nuisance phone calls trying to do surveys or sell us something...they are fewer now though. Glad it has worked for you NP.

17 Jul, 2011

Trouble with the surveys is that some of them are based abroad, where our regs don't cover them.

18 Aug, 2011

No change there then lll x x .

20 Aug, 2011

AAAh you do have toadstools ..... :)

28 May, 2012

i usedto have some ar"£ %^le stole them last winter .

28 May, 2012

OMG ... that's unbelievable. Well, someone stole our front doorstep!! And that must have weighed a tonne! How do these people sleep at night!

28 May, 2012

Your Doorstep?? Good grief. I've heard of people having newly laid front lawns stolen too. No end to it. Are these new toadstools NP or are they the ones that were taken?

28 May, 2012

they are the ones im afraid sterogram . someone unbolted and stole a three and a half ton metal lathe about 200 yards from wear we used to live and know one herd a thing . i will put something back there at some point with theft in mind . maybe a huge finger lol x x .

29 May, 2012

Nice one NP! LOL x. Yes the doorstep! And in broad daylight too! Can I say Plo***rs on hear or is that a rude word (sorry I still grapple with English at times and can never tell whether words I hear are meant to be very rude or just "oK rude" lol)

29 May, 2012

plonkers is fine lol its w"£$%^s that isnt xx .

29 May, 2012

A finger -- or perhaps a man trap?

30 May, 2012

a bear trap more like lol just a tad elegal im afraid even burglers and thieves have rights you know xx .

31 May, 2012

How sad is that - one can't even protect one's own property!!

31 May, 2012

i know i think a burgler or thief should deserve a good slap or bite of ya dog but aparrently you can get busted or your dog destroyed .id just let my dog carry on lol xx .

31 May, 2012

Me too! LOL ... I think everyone should suffer the consequences of their choices and take the risks that come with the "job" - if you choose to burgle than be prepared to have dogs biting you!!! LOL

31 May, 2012

here here if i was one id think that thow i wouldnt be a very good one with a walking stick and a big tattoo on my head lol xx .

1 Jun, 2012

Sorry NP... I didn't follow the comment ... I hope I haven't said anything that can be offensive :o

1 Jun, 2012
