So pretty.. such a lovely face on it ..
...have you ever tried planting the Viola Sorbet series ?
They seems to do well in the colder weather, though probably not the very icy temps of an Alaskan winter !

Really tough flower. Thank you all. :-) These are one of the trusted plants that have seed come through winter, so I get volunteers. Odd that this year I got just this one, yet I have allysum and even a biden sprout on its own. I lets many go to seed, so we'll see what is around next season. :-) Plenty of snow cover to insulate them so far.

Lovely picture, GT. My Pansies don't have the protection of snow cover, they have to brave out the frosts. I have 3 flower troughs filled with them as well as some other big pots. The flowers are still on the plants but when they thaw I imagine they will fall off & I will have to wait a couple of months before seeing any more.

You will be surprised how tough they are. You'll see new flowers very soon I'm sure. Once the temp gets above 0 again anyway. :-)

I've grown them many years but they have never had it so bad! I know they are very hardy & I expect they will pull through & give some lovely flowers in the spring.

Morning/Evening Joseph! Pansies are amazing aren't they? I have some in a pot that have been frozen solid under snow and ice for three weeks now and they are still bright and trying!
